E' un itinerario tipicamente invernale, che raggiunge la sua massima bellezza quando la neve ha coperto tutta la valle. Si può fare anche d'estate, ma in inverno, sulla neve battuta, è molto, molto divertente e panoramico. Attenzione che per la massima soddisfazione, la neve non deve essere appena caduta, ma già battuta dagli escursionisti da qualche giorno, se nò pedalare risulta molto difficile, Si parte dal parcheggio all'inizio della valle campo di dentro direttamente su strada innevata, al successivo parcheggio le macchine non possono più circolare e si sale sulla strada trasformata in pista da slitte fino al rifugio tre scarperi. Volendo qui si può proseguire ancora un pò nella valle. il ritorno si fa nel divertentissimo sentiero (segnalato) che incrocia la strada, evitando solo la prima parte perchè c'è un pò da spingere, il sentiero nella parte alta presenta qualche tratto tecnico. Chi non si fidasse a scendere sul sentiero, può ridiscendere per la strada innevata Parcheggio all'inizio della valle campo di dentro, fra s. candido e sesto in alta val Pusteria, si può raggiungere da Cortina o dall'autostrada del Brennero uscita Bressanone
