Il percorso è da seguire in senso Orario.
Si segue la strada asfaltata in direzione Le Selve, arrivati ad una casa si percorre un breve tratto di sterrato onde evitare la strada asfaltata che viene comunque ripresa fino al bivio delle Selve.
Si prosegue su via Montefune, si gira a destra su Via Selva della Massa.
Arrivati ad una capannina verde si entra dentro il castagneto e si arriva in mezzo al bosco al complesso turistico delle Selve. Se è aperto ci si può rifocillare.
Subito dopo il complesso si gira a destra in una carraia sconnessa e si inizia a scendere fino ad arrivare ad un guado. Una volta superato ci si arrampica fino ad arrivare ad una strada ghiaiata e si gira a destra continuando a salire. Dopo un pò di sali e scendi su strade ghiaiata si arriva a Belvedere. Si continua su strada asfaltata fino alla rotonda della Bordona dove sulla destra c'è un ristorante. Poco dopo si lascia la strada asfaltata per arrampicarsi su una strada ghiaiata che poi diventa single track, è la vecchia strada Bordona che si percorreva per arrivare a Castel del Rio, a piedi e a cavallo.
Il single track è molto bello e veloce, non troppo impegnativo e ti porta fino a Castel del Rio.
State attenti all'ultimo pezzo dove per inserirsi sulla strada asfaltata c'è da superare una piccola grata che fa da ponte ad un fosso. Arrivati a Castel del Rio da Imola, si prende subito la strada a destra per lasciare la Montanara e si arriva al Piazzale Magnus seguendo l'indicazione parcheggio o Le Selve.

Follow the paved road towards Le Selve, arrived at a house along a short stretch of dirt road to avoid the paved road that is still shooting to the junction of Selve.
We continue on via Montefune, turn right on Via Selva of Massa.
arrive at a hut in the chestnut forest green you enter and you will get through the woods to the tourist complex of Selve. If it is open you can take refreshment.
Immediately after the complex turn right on a bumpy dirt road and you start to go down until you come to a ford. Once you pass you climb until you reach a gravel road and turn right and continue to climb. After some ups and downs on the gravel roads we arrive at the Belvedere. Continue on the road until the roundabout where the Bordona on the right there is a restaurant. Shortly after you leave the paved road to climb on a gravel road which then becomes single track, is the old road that ran through Bordona to get to Castel del Rio, on foot and on horseback.
The single track is very nice and fast , not too challenging and brings you up to Castel del Rio.
Be careful where the last piece to fit on the asphalt road is to pass a small grate that acts as a bridge to a ditch. Once in Castel del Rio da Imola, you'll quickly get the right path to leave the Montanara and you arrive at Piazzale Magnus, following the signs or parking Le Selve.
