Finora è stata la più bella delle uscite del gruppo “MarsiBike”. Ci siamo ritrovati in 11 alla partenza dalla piazza di Celano ed abbiamo percorso tutto il tracciato con calma e tranquillità, ammirando gli spettacolari panorami offerti gratuitamente dal massiccio del Sirente e dalla Piana del Fucino.
Abbiamo trovato i giusti tempi per tutti e ci siamo anche concessi un caffè ad Ovindoli e l’aperitivo a Celano.
ROADBOOK:
Partenza da Piazza IV Novembre a Celano, si comincia a scendere per via Ranelletti poi per via Stazione e giriamo a sx per via Giovenale da Celano.
Seguiamo la SR5bis, 500 metri dopo aver attraversato l’autostrada imbocchiamo una stretta stradina a sx che ci porta ad incrociare la strada per Aielli Stazione.
Attraversiamo l’abitato e seguitiamo per Aielli alta. Subito prima di Aielli prendiamo a sx seguendo il pittoresco cartello che indica “AIELLI SUD”, oltrepassiamo il cimitero e ci buttiamo a sx su una larga strada bianca in corrispondenza di un fontanile che ci lasciamo sulla destra. Da questo punto si sale pressoché ininterrottamente fino a quota 1490 dove ci fermiamo a prendere fiato prima di affrontare lo strappo di Vado Castello che in cinque tornanti ci porta a quota 1540 all’inizio dei prati di S.Maria.
Attraversiamo la piana seguendo la carrareccia mantenendoci sulla sx.
Se vogliamo ci possiamo fermare presso lo stupendo fontanile a sx.
Continuiamo a seguire il percorso molto evidente ed anche molto frequentato fino a quota 1616 dove giriamo a sx in direzione di Ovindoli.
Da questo punto comincia una strepitosa discesa che ci porta a Val d’Arano e di seguito ad Ovindoli.
Oltrepassiamo la piazza e ricominciamo a scendere sulla via secondaria che scende sulla destra, incrociamo e seguiamo la via principale per una cinquantina di metri e subito ci ributtiamo a sx su una ripidissima e sconnessa sterrata; questa si incrocia più volte con la SR5bis fino a S.Potito. Da questo punto seguiamo la SR5bis fino al punto di partenza.

So far it was the most beautiful of the outputs of the group "MarsiBike" . We found ourselves in 11 to start from the square of Celano and we walked around the track with calm and tranquility, admiring the spectacular views offered for free by the massif of Sirente and Fucino.
We found the right time for everyone and we We also treated ourselves to a coffee or an aperitif in Ovindoli Celano.
ROADBOOK:
Departure from Piazza IV Novembre in Celano, one begins to descend via Ranelletti then via Station and turn left for via Juvenal Celano.
We follow the SR5bis, 500 meters after crossing the highway we take a narrow road on the left which leads us to cross the road to Aielli Station.
We cross the village and we continue to Aielli high. Immediately before Aielli take a left and follow the scenic road sign indicating "AIELLI SUD", past the cemetery and we throw left on a wide dirt road at a fountain we leave on the right. From this point you climb almost continuously to a height of 1490 where we stop to catch your breath before tackling the castle that I'm going to tear into five hairpin bends leads us to share in 1540 at the beginning of the meadows of Santa Maria.
Cross the plain Following the cart keeping us on the left.
If we want we can stop at the beautiful fountain on the left.
continue to follow the path very clear and also very busy until 1616 share where you turn left in the direction of Ovindoli. < br> From this point begins a thrilling descent that leads us to Val d'Arano and after Ovindoli.
We cross the square and we start to come down on the side street leading down to the right, crossed and follow the main road for about fifty meters and now we are thrown back to the left on a steep and bumpy dirt; this is crossed several times with the SR5bis up to S. Potito. From this point we follow the SR5bis to the point of departure.
