Bellissimo ed impegnativo percorso che attraversa il Monte Novegno ed il Monte Summano.
In alternativa ai giri proposti che salgono sul Summano su asfalto in questo caso la salita ricalca il bellissimo percorso della Valleogra salendo prima sul Novegno.
Con partenza da Santorso si riscaldano le gambe direzione Schio e poi inizia la bellissima ascesa tra single track e mulattiere con solo brevissimi tratti asfaltati. La vista sul Gruppo del Carega, il Cornetto ed il Pasubio a fare da sfondo ai nostri sforzi ripaga alla grandissima dalle fatiche.
Raggiunta "busa" Novegno 1550mt, dopo una meritata pausa, si prosegue verso Passo Campedello e giù con un bellissimo single track verso il Colletto Piccolo prendendo direzione Sella Giove, Sella Tre Bocchette. La discesa è abbastanza impegnativa soprattutto nella parte centrale per il fondo sassoso ed esposto, ma basta procedere con cautela. Il paesaggio è comunque una meraviglia e merita in pieno percorrere questo tratto!
Raggiunto il Colletto Piccolo e la strada non asfaltata a 900mt si procedere direzione Summano. Dopo un breve tratto semipianeggiante inizia l'impegnativa ascesa su fondo di cemento con pendenze di tutto rispetto. Sono solo 5km ma la fatica della lunga salita precedente inizia a farsi sentire.
Arrivati alla baita sul Novegno inizia la discesa lungo il divertente sentiero 459. Il fondo è buono, con piccoli ostacoli che rendono divertente la discesa. Da fare attenzione ai tronchi posizionati trasversalmente che se umidi possono diventare pericolosi.
Raggiunto poi il Santuario della Madonna dell'Angelo si può scendere velocemente a Piovene Rocchette per tornare velocemente al punto di partenza, oppure percorrere la carreccia tagliafuoco che parte proprio dietro la chiesa e permette di arrivare a Santorso senza tanta fatica.
Note:
La tipologia del tracciato per l'ascesa al Novegno non richiede nessuna dote in particolare, se non una buona resistenza visti i continui sali e scendi ed il dislivello da portare a termine.
La discesa dal Novegno invece richiede buone abilità per il fondo, la parte esposta ed il sentiero stretto.
Per la salita al Summano c'è solo da pedalare ed avere una buona resistenza soprattutto per il dislivello che si è accumulato.
La discesa invece richiede lucidità sempre a causa del fondo insidioso.
In autunno è SPETTACOLARE!
