Risalire alla cima del Beigua da Varazze è lunghina (20 km +/-), per noi scoppiati è stata duretta. Tutto sommato la salita è generosa, lunga ma mai estrema e con tratti che lasciano respirare. Da Varazze si parte subito scaldando le gambette su una bella scalinata che porta alla base di una "salitella" cementata, seguite la via Beato Giacomo che vi porterà alla Chiesetta dedicata. Da qui si prosegue fino ad arrivare alla Ramognina, un bellissimo allevamento di gabbiani (discarica) la si odora e si scappa a manetta percorrendone il perimetro che si imbuca in una sterrata che poi si strozza in un sigle trak che porta, in piano, all'asfaltata che sale a Faie. Proseguite, finito l'asfalto il panorama diventa più piacevole su sterrata, cambiando tipologia ad ogni svolta, con pazienza si arriva al passo "Prato Rotondo" (Rifugio chiuso Martedì e Mercoledì) da qui 3 km d'asfalto fino alla cima. La discesa si imbocca al primo tornante scendendo, sulla sx, non si intuisce, portandoci dietro allo sgabuzzino verde in primo piano ... eccolo ! Seguite sempre il +rosso e il gioco è fatto, la parte alta è da cercare ma si trova. Parliamo della discesa: tutta bella tecnica su sassi fissi e mossi; tratti veloci quasi inesistenti. La goduria muore quando si sbuca sulla strada che abbiamo fatto in risalita appena prima di Faie.
Da questo punto si scende la traccia della salita.
Per chi non vuole smazzarsi tutta la salita, conviene portarsi in auto fino nei pressi di Faie. Una volta riscesi alle auto chi "non guida" può proseguire per Varazze imboccando a sx la traccia sterrata (non quella che sale) , è comunque divertente, per ricongiungersi in paese con chi a condotto al mare la macchina.
