Trail Description

Siamo così arrivati a Cenesi in Via Siccardi. All’incrocio giriamo in giù verso sinistra e arriviamo in fondo alla discesa.

This is a distance of approximately 38 km, suitable for those who already have a little 'training. This ride can be divided into 2 parts, the first of climbing, you do not need to have special technical skills, while the second presents some technical descents and challenging. The trail is fairly wide, so there is no risk of not finding reference points.
It starts from Albenga and we head towards Villanova passing through San Fedele and Lusignan. Villanova came to go to the airport and we finally arrive behind the racecourse car park nearby. At this point, always skirting the airport, we head Ortovero, we get over the creek crossing the bridge at the intersection and go to the right to introduce us on the highway. Further to the right and after about 1 km arriviamoall'incrocio leading to Arnasco. From here we begin to climb. After about a couple of miles you come to a junction on a bend. Take it to the right to head towards Arnasco - Vendone - Onzo.
After about 500 meters, on the right, near a curve, you will find the entry to see the monoliths of Rainer. It is a small garden with sculptures in stone, you can not go wrong.
Going forward (about 20 mt.) The road starts to be down and to the right guardrail stops. From this point you should see a sign with a ban on the bike and the path that we need to start going down and down seems to go back.
Begin our dirt road. After about two kilometers sbucheremo in another path partially paved. If we head to the right we will end up, after a nice downhill to Coasco.
Instead, we go to the left and start to climb out of a forklift are paved with concrete. After a couple of switchbacks take the path that opens up to our right and we begin to follow it. After a mile we arrive in town Menosio and instead take the road that goes down we make the bend to the left to go in the middle of the block.
At this point which way we go will come out on the main one. Just in front of us, across the main road starts a climb on the right call away Poggi. We are always on this road and after a few hundred meters up the road will become dirt real. The climb is long and soon we arrive at an altitude of 500 mt.
After the climb begins a level road that runs through all the hills. This brings us to a clearing where there is a branch. Going to the left you should get to Cisano on the Neva. (I say should because I never followed that path). By walking from where we are, we will see that on the right side of the path there is one second. This path goes uphill and should lead to the Cross of Arnasco and then continue again (in this case I have no idea whether it is viable or not).
Anyway, got to the mall, go to the right and after a while we get to the ruins of a military outpost on top of the hills there is a strong nineteenth century but not idea of ??how you arrive. In front of us now are the ruins of this outpost, go to the right and just after what was supposed to be the guard begins a steep descent, with loose surfaces. After 30 meters in altitude the descent becomes less steep but at least our path is full of rocks and steps that renders this part of the route rather technical.
End of the descent, when you cross another dirt road turns to the left, subsequently, right, right again and finally a close that brings us back to the right on a small paved road. So we have arrived at Cenesi in Via Siccardi. Now we just have to get a bit 'on asphalt. At the junction turn left and come down in the bottom of the descent.
At the bottom, turn right and follow the road that is called via Costarossa. Let's go straight until the main road makes a hairpin turn to the right and in front of us starts a dirt road. We follow the dirt road. From here on, can not go wrong, there are ramifications. Once finished the dirt road going to the left and we will find ourselves on the road that connects with Arnasco Coasco. We go downhill on asphalt and return quietly to Albenga.
To me personally this tour is not sorry, indeed, I found it rather enjoyable because it had itself a bit 'of everything. Asphalt, dirt, technical descents, simple stretches, a little 'cross country, a little' all-mountain, freeride and a little bit (but not much there), all of this combined with a great view in the middle of nature.
