Trail Description

c) fare pausa contemplativa...
d) poi ...

Come sempre....buon divertimento!!

The descent on the way Priula
grounds that it is useless to explain, I will need to go to the Refuge Pescegallo Salmurano ...
and then vagonzolo in your network for a few laps to do in the area, I inquire
and advice ... and it 'so that a friend "rather than" local tells me "via Priula" ...
New search the net and find what I need, I organize, I do a track with preventive a beautiful journey ... and Sunday is proof!
out from the ski Pescegallo in Val Gerola, with uphill on the dirt road up to the refuge Salmurano. Behind the hut, west side, you go down a few feet and on the marked path pointing to an avalanche. Passing under this, always on the trail with several ups and downs and Pushing or better on the shoulder, you arrive on strarrata that leads to Lake Pescegallo. Once at the lake, stop and photos. The clear blue lake has some large rocks that are lost to the surface forming whitish spots and many beautiful in the photograph. Woman Doing around the lake (I went to the east) until you get to the trail that goes up to an opening on which there is a label "Alta via Orobie Trail Andrea Paniga" and then to the step of Verrobbio. The climb from the lake up to the first intake you bike to the shoulder; the short descent in direction Verrobbio it runs a few feet in the saddle and the rest to push and shoulder. With a little effort still (fairly level and discrete development) you get to the step of Verrobbio, passing in front of a small body of water.
Once you reach the pass and made the photos to the trenches of "Linea Cadorna" .. .
a) ask, again without response, because Cadorna wanted a line of defense so useless and difficult to build ...
b) breathe in a long time, enjoy the scenery surrounding ...
c) do pause for silent contemplation ...
d)
then ... then you're ready to slip into the long path towards the Cà San Marco, all downhill, fairly preserved and broken only occasionally ... < br> Some piece cycled (not much) and you get to the Cà San Marco ... it took me nearly half an hour, stopping to make some pictures and rest your forearms !!
The view south towards the lake Valmora deserves to be enjoyed and a break every now and then there is good shelter !!
The Cà San Marco is on the way and so jam-packed with cars and motorcycles. I stopped on the apron to make two photos, take a sip of water and leave quickly ...
At this point there are two altrenative: take a couple of kilometers or so to get to share in 1829 to a height of shelter 1985 San Marco climbing step on the asphalt of the road, or climb along the trail that stretches sal Finch of the mountain. Yesterday I went up on the asphalt, a little to rest the calves and a little bit because the trail was very busy with walkers ...
Once over the pass, finally Priula to Morbegno is revealed, green and inviting .. .
Put the helmet, the descent begins immediately fast and fun on the pavement that still defends the invasion of the grass ... a few tens of meters after the step even grass becomes less and this is seen Priula and follow very well.
The fund is paved, rather irregular with a few strokes ... it takes really battered brakes in order because if you spring all, at some points it takes speed quickly.
The road continues with a long series of switchbacks not particularly close but fun to ride in the saddle. Traits partly grassed alternate with stretches of cobbled and still sometimes partially covered with foliage. A watchful eye to prevent falls, while the other looks at the landscape of silver fir and larch trees everywhere.
Via Priula is marked on the map as a path n. 110
Yesterday I did not find anyone on the course with the exception of two hikers climbing encountered just above the crossing of a stream in the area known Casera Orta. The wooden bridge over the creek is broken in two and collapsed, so you have to wade, with your feet in the cool water ... depending on the season!
Beyond the river is a short stretch on a slight slope pedaled nimbly between grass and a few plants of nettles. Then begins the descent of pebbles and leaves. Every now and then you have to stop to take a breath and let it cool brakes and riposar arms! The landscape alternates fir forest with occasional glimpses of the valley to the west. The green lit by the sun goes all the way down. At one of the umpteenth outputs from the forest you come upon a stretch of cobblestones that passes by the village of "Dosso Cleric" at an altitude of 1238 ... we drank almost 750 meters of downhill !!
soon after the houses is a fountain to restore the water supply. A few switchbacks still on the pebbles and you exceed the second group of houses Dosso Cleric.
Here begins the most "regular" street Priula, which path "from spallone" melts in losing a country road ... some of its undoubted charm.
Even downhill, some uphill hairpin dirt to asphalt then find some parts. At this point we need to sharpen the view because the road intersects often the tarmac and then you must follow the brown signs not to lose the route. It passes through the towns of Albaredo, Arzo Valley and then continue along the path with cobbled sections in strong descent to Morbegno coming out in the plaza at the end of Via San Marco ... and here the end of the descent !! altitude 260 m asl ... a nice buck 1725 meters.
Fatigue stood behind the bike this morning was amply rewarded! On A couple of notes: we need water, lots of water because they bring the bike on his shoulder makes you sweat a lot and it's all uphill to the sun.
Protections: I had in my backpack, but I have not used ... a little to the relative ease of the trail, maybe a little bit because I am made to take the enthusiasm! < br> Some figures of the Garmin almost 8 hours of journey, just over 29 km, 1114 meters of ascent and descent in 2306.
As always .... enjoy !!
