Il vantaggio della MTB è che ci permette di affrontare tutti i tipi di strada - sentiero che incontriamo nelle nostre uscite.
Qui propongo un anello che alternando asfalto e strade sterrate ci porta dal livello del mare agli 810 metri s.l.m. della Colla di S.Giacomo per poi scendere a Orco e Boragni quindi nuovamente risalire fino alle Rocche bianche per scendere a Vado e Savona.
Questo è un itinerario che permette diverse variazioni ( che segnalero' di volta in volta ) permettendo di allungare il tragitto oppure di aumentare la percentuale di sterrato.
Da Savona raggiungiamo Altare seguendo la S.S. colle di Cadibona fino al forte (km11.6)
- volendo possiamo raggiungere Altare su sterrato seguendo l' itinerario
in senso inverso -
Superiamo il forte e raggiungiamo il centro del paese , troviamo le indicazione per Mallare , svoltiamo a sinistra e seguiamo la strada fino al paesino di Mallare (km 21) qui al primo incrocio svoltiamo a sinistra indicazioni per Eremita.
Proseguiamo , superiamo un maneggio ed un ristorante , poco dopo inizia lo sterrato, e la strada inizia a salire.
Rimaniamo sulla strada principale fino a raggiungere la Colla di S. Giacomo (km26.6) , andiamo sempre su sterrato a sinistra , iniziamo a scendere , facciamo attenzione a destra dove incrociamo una sterrata che scende in senso inverso al nostro indicazione per ORCO FEGLINO (km 28). (possiamo proseguire dritti e raggiungere le Rocche bianche accorciando il giro)
Rimaniamo sulla traccia principale senza prendere deviazioni e con una veloce discesa (attenzione!) arriviamo ad un incrocio dove vediamo iniziare l' asfalto a destra (32.7) imbocchiamo la strada asfaltata , superiamo l' abitato di Costa Villa e svoltiamo in salita a sinistra fino a raggiungere la piazza della chiesa di Orco (km 34.8) .
Prendiamo la strada di fronte a noi in discesa , superiamo Boragni ed incrociamo la provinciale che sale da Finale (km38.2) andiamo a sinistra.
Poco dopo svoltiamo in salita a destra su via Portio (km 38.8) la salita ci porta Vezzi Portio , appena entrati in paese svoltiamo ancora in salita a sinistra (km 42) poco dopo imbocchiamo un evidente strada in salita a destra (indicazione Rocche Bianche) qui l' asfalto ci lascia poco dopo , la sterrata arriva fino alla strada che sale alle Rocche da Vado (km 44.5) , andiamo a sinistra fino al cippo in memoria ai caduti (km 46.3).
Qui prendiamo la stradina che torna indietro in leggera salita parallela a quella da cui siamo arrivati , poco dopo scendiamo a destra sotto una cascina , e quindi sempre a destra nell ' evidente sentiero nel bosco (km.46.8) , seguiamo l' evidente traccia nel bosco (purtroppo risitemata anche troppo bene) fino ad un evidente incrocio (km. 47.9) andiamo sulla prima strada a destra - se volete potete ulteriormente allungare lo sterrato seguendo la seconda strada da destra , itinerarioin senso inverso -
raggiungiamo nuovamente l' asfalto e andiamo a sinistra (km. 48.3 ) .
La lunga discesa ci porta a Vado Ligure dove svoltiamo a sinistra sull' Aurelia (km.59) quindi Savona (km 66).
Come ho detto questa è una concatenazione di vari itinerari , consiglio ad esempio di proseguire oltre le Rocche Bianche per scendere poi a Roviasca od Altare se volete fare piu' sterrato.

continue, we pass a riding school and a restaurant, starts shortly after the dirt road, and the road begins to rise.
remain on the main road until you reach the shelf of St. James (km26.6), we always go on a dirt road to the left, begin to go down, we pay attention to the right where we cross a dirt road that goes in the opposite direction to the Our indication for ORCO FEGLINO (km 28). (We can go straight and reach the Fortresses white shortening the turn)
remain on the main track without taking detours and with a fast descent (be careful!) Come to a crossroads where we see the start 'asphalt to the right (32.7) take the road asphalt, we overcome the 'village of Villa Costa uphill and turn left until you reach the church square of Orco (km 34.8).
take the road in front of us down, we overcome Boragni and crossed the main road that climbs Finale (km38.2) go to the left.
Shortly after turn right uphill on Via Portio (38.8 km) climb brings us Vezzi Portio, as you enter the village turn left again uphill (42 km) slightly after we take a clear road uphill to the right (signposted Rocche Bianche) here 's asphalt leaves us a little later, the dirt comes up to the road that goes to the Fortresses by Vado (44.5 km), go left up the memorial in memory to the fallen (km 46.3).
Here we take the road that goes back uphill parallel to that by which we arrived shortly after we descend to the right under a farmhouse, and then right again in 'clear path in the woods (km.46.8 ), we follow the 'obvious trail in the woods (unfortunately risitemata too well) until a clear intersection (km. 47.9) before we go on the road to the right - if you want you can further lengthen the dirt road following the second road to the right, itinerarioin reverse -
reach again the 'asphalt and go left (km. 48.3).
Long descent leads us to Vado Ligure where we turn left on 'Aurelia (km.59) then Savona (km 66).
As I said this is a concatenation of several routes, such as advice to continue to go down over the White Rocks then Roviasca Altar or if you want to do more 'dirt road.
