Zum Warmfahren Auffahrt auf nicht steilem Forstweg ("Q") zunächst etwas zäh Richtung Hohen-Loog-Ebene, Wechsel aber auf "blau-weiß"-Trail zum P Hahnenschritt , Sandweg an Bergflanke Kalmit und Umrundung des Felsenmeers (Lust auf Trial - auf dem Felsenmeerplateau genial möglich) und über P Röm. Wachstube wieder auf "blau-weiß" (Trail und Forstweg) bis zur St. Martiner Hütte. Kurze Trailabfahrt und Anstieg auf Forstwegen zur Lolosruhe. Noch ein kurzes Stück bis zur Aussicht beim Schänzelturm. Es folgt der flowige Trail bis zum Forsthaus Heldenstein (Einkehr (?) Ruhetag Mo) Anschließend folgt man "grün-weiß", wechselt beim Schuhmacherstiefel auf den Trailweg mit "gelb-grünem" Kreuz zunächst einfach abwärts und nach der Straßenüberquerung (L514) gleichem Symbol folgende auf kleinem Kettenblatt hoch bis zur Totenkopfhütte (technisch einfach, locker kurbeln). Der Pump-Track zurück zum P bei den Röm. Wachstuben ist ein Muss (!), "bayrisch" geht's dann etwas kniffliger zum P Hahnenschritt (steigend), von da ab technisch bis zum Hohe-Loog-Haus (Hambacher Hütte) - immer rotem Punkt folgend. Am Schluss genießt man den legendären Trail zurück nach Neustadt (auf andere Wegnutzer Acht geben! Mi, Sa, So + Feiertags bzw. Ferien u. U. stark frequentiert).
