La Maddalena und Caprera Ein Muss ist diese wunderschöne Tour auf die nördlich vor Sardinien liegende Inselgruppe. Von Palau geht es mit der Fähre (alle 30 Minuten, ca. 12€ Hin&Zurück je Person) nach La Maddalena. Dieser Ort mit einstmals 12000 Einwohner ist sehr beschaulich. Seine Bedeutung hat seit dem Abzug der 6. US-Flotte von der Isola Santo Stefano 2008 stark abgenommen und überall sieht man Häuser und WOhnungen zu verkaufen. Die Tour kann man grundsätzlich in beide Richtungen fahren. Wir haben sie im Uhrzeigersinn gemacht, da man dann spätnachmittags/abends das schöne Sonnenlicht an der Punta Rossa genießen kann. Sie ist in schon unzähliche Tracks hier bereits beschrieben (z.B. 8732, 9058, 29333, 33873 und der Inselteil von 82794). Los geht es also in La Maddalena Richtung Westen den Wegweiser der "Strada Panoramica" folgend. Am Ortsausgang kann man durch eine alte Festungsmauer (sieht eher aus wie eine Hofeinfahrt) ein Stück hochfahren und hat einen ersten sehr schönen Ausblick auf die Bucht. Wieder zurück auf der Hauptstrasse wartet auch gleich der erste Anstieg. Aber nichts dramatisches. Vor allem ist hier abseits des Hauptortes fast kein Verkehr mehr (kann natürlich in der Hauptsaison anders sein). Man kommt bis (fast) zum höchsten Punkt der Insel, der mit einer Radarstation "geschmückt" ist. Nun geht es nordwärts wieder bergab und bald liegt die Wallfahrtskirche S. Trinita an der Strasse. Vorbei an unzähligen Buchten schlängelt sich die Strasse zur Ostseite der Insel. Wer will kann zwischendurch noch einen kurzen Abstecher zu einem nördlich gelegen Felsen machen. Kurz vor dem Damm könnte man in einem Supermarkt auch seinen Getränkevorrat nochmals ergänzen. Über den damm nun auf die unter Naturschutz stehende Insel Caprera. Am Ende an der Y-Kreuzung gleich links und nun bald auf Schotterpisten zum Nordende der Insel. Das dortige Fort Arbuffici war bei uns leider geschlossen. Die Auffahrt lohnt wegen des Blickes nach Süden trotzdem. Zurück führt die Strasse unter dem Höhenzug des Monte Teialone vorbei. Wer lUst hat kann in 20 Minuten dort zu Fuß hochsteigen. Mindest einen genauso guten AUsblick hat man von der Ruine des Forte Poggio Rasu. Im zweiten Weltkrieg war es ein Bollwerk der Italiener gegen die auf Korika sitzenden Franzosen. Nach dem Krieg musste es abgerissen werden. Uebrig geblieben sind beeindruckende Ruinen (Eintritt nicht unbedingt erwünscht aber auch nicht verboten). Zurück auf dem Hauptweg geht es weiter talwärts bis zur Abzweigung zum SÜdende der Insel. Im leichten auf und ab nähern wird uns der Punta Rossa. Auch dort steht wieder eine alte Festung. Die Absperrung an der Strasse hat mehr Pseudocharakter. Man könnte sogar bis ins innere der Festung fahren (wenn da nicht die vielen Glasscherben von Flaschen wären). Auf dem Rückweg kommen wir noch an der Casa Garibaldi vorbei. Giuseppe Garibaldi, der Mann mit dem "rotgoldenen Seidengelocke", der "Löwe von Caprera" ist einer der Nationalhelden Italiens und angeblich muss jeder Italiener mindestens einmal im Leben hierher. Nur gut, dass es schon November ist und die Italiener auf dem Festland verweilen. Der weitere Weg hält nochmals eine Überraschung bereits. Abseits der Haupstrasse führt, teilweise ganz nah am Ufer, ein Weg/Pfad zurück zum Verbindungdamm. Zurück auf der Hauptinsel geht es dann immer an der Südküste entlang zurück zu Fähre. In der Innenstadt am Marktplatz gibt es natürlich auch im Novmber noch ein Gelati. Stand 11/2011

La Maddalena and Caprera A must see is this wonderful tour to the north lies before Sardinia island group. From Palau, there is a ferry (every 30 minutes, about 12 & euro; Hin & amp; Back per person) to La Maddalena. This place was once 12,000 inhabitants is very tranquil. Its importance has been greatly reduced since the withdrawal of U.S. 6th Fleet of the Isola Santo Stefano in 2008 and everywhere you can see houses and apartments for sale. The tour can basically go in both directions. We have made it clockwise, as then late afternoon / evening you can enjoy the beautiful sunlight at Punta Rossa. She is already in innumerable tracks here already described (eg 8732, 9058, 29333, 33873 and 82794 of the island part). & Nbsp; It starts so in La Maddalena westwards the sign of & quot; Panoramic Road & quot; following. At the exit you can by an old fortress wall (looks more like a driveway) to boot a piece and has a first beautiful view of the bay. Back on the main road waiting also equal to the first rise. But nothing dramatic. Above all, here is away from the main town almost no traffic (which can of course be in the high season otherwise). To get to (almost) the highest point of the island, the quot with a radar station &; decorated & quot; is. Now it goes northward downhill again and soon the pilgrimage church of S. Trinita is on the road. Past countless bays, the road winds to the east side of the island. Anyone who wants to can between even make a short detour to a north rocks located. Just before the dam could be added in a supermarket and his drinks stock again. About the causeway now to a nature reserve island of Caprera. At the end of the Y-junction just to the left and then soon on gravel roads to the north end of the island. The local Fort Arbuffici was closed with us. The driveway is worthwhile because of the view to the south anyway. Back the road leads past under the ridge of Mount Teialone. Anyone interested can climb in 20 minutes to walk there. Minimum one just has one good view of the ruins of the Forte Poggio Rasu. During World War II it was a bulwark against the Italians sitting on Korika French. After the war, it had to be demolished. Remains are impressive ruins (entrance not necessarily desirable but not prohibited). Back on the main path it goes downhill to the junction to the south end of the island. In the light on and off is approaching us the Punta Rossa. Also there is an old fortress again. The barrier on the road has more pseudo character. You could even go down to the interior of the fortress (if not for the many broken glass bottles would be). On the way back we'll get past the Casa Garibaldi. Giuseppe Garibaldi, the man with the & quot; silken red-gold Locke & quot ;, the & quot; Lion of Caprera & quot; is one of the National heroes of Italy and Italians supposedly everyone has at least once in life here. Good thing it's already November and the Italians stay on the mainland. The way forward again holds a surprise already. Away from the main road leads, sometimes quite close to shore, a path / path back to the compound dam. Back on the main island, it is then always at the south coast back to the ferry.
