Obwohl die Veitsbergrunde in die beliebte Bike-Region rund um die Ackernalm und Erz-Herzog-Johann Klause (EHJ-Klause) führt, liegt die Strecke abseits vom Bikertrubel, so dass man hier zumindest bis zur EHJ-Klause kaum einem Radler begegnet. Tourbeschreibung Vom Parkplatz rollt man man einige Hundert Meter auf der Straße bis ein Abzweig Richtung "Ackernalm über Forstweg" links von der Straße wegführt. Man folgt nun stets dieser Beschilderung. In gemütlicher Steigung (5 - 8%) schraubt man sich langsam ca. 700 hm bis zur Grabenbergalm. Je höher man kommt, desto mehr Blicke gibt der Wald auf das Hintere Sonnwendjoch und den Wilden Kaiser frei. Man fährt auf der kleinen Teerstraße durch das Almgelände und sieht rechts bald die Gebäude der Ackernalm, die man nach kurzer Abfahrt erreicht. Weiter geht es an der Ackernalm vorbei zur EHJ-Klause. Hier wartet eine lange Abfahrt auf bestem Forstweg. Wir fahren auf der linken Talseite auf der Marbachstraße, wo weit weniger los ist (2. Abzweig nach links). Man erreicht schließlich die Klause, die sich für eine Rast mit ihrer sonnigen Terasse anbietet. Nach der Rast fährt man weiter entlang der Brandenberger Ache unter den imposanten Felswänden, die besonders im Abendlicht zur Geltung kommen, bis man das Kaiserhaus erreicht. Dort überquert man die Ache. Nun folgt man der Beschilderung Richtung "Thiersee, Buchacker" in quälend geringer Steigung ca. 200 hm bergauf. Nach den Riedenberger Wiesen geht es schließlich gerade und dann bergab bis zu einem Bach. Hier wartet nochmal ein kurzer sehr steiler Anstieg. Man fährt weiter auf einfachem Trail, bis man auf eine Teerstraße stößt. Über Landl/Rohrmoos rollt man nun bergab bis man direkt beim Parkplatz herauskommt. Next it goes to the Ackernalm over to EHJ-Klause. Here waits a long descent to the best of our forest. We drive on the left side of the valley on Marbach Road, where far less going on (2nd exit to the left). We finally reached the hermitage, which lends itself to a rest with its sunny terrace. After the break you drive further along the Brandenberger Ache under the imposing rock faces that come in the evening especially when exposed to light, until you reach the imperial house. There you cross the Ache. Now, follow the signs & quot; Thiersee, Buchacker & quot; in excruciatingly small slope about 200 hm uphill. Finally, according to the Riedberger meadows it just goes downhill and then up to a creek. Here again waits a short very steep climb. Continue onto an easy trail until you come to a tarmac road. About Landl / tube moss man rolls downhill now until one comes out directly from the car park.
