Štart je pomaknjen pod tunel Ucka v prvo spodnjo vas Vranja, ki leži 255 metrov nad morjem. Cilj je vrh Ucke na slabih 1.400 metrih. Vmes je slabih 15 kilometrov vzpona. Ta je nekoliko hujši (tam okrog 17%) kmalu po odcepu, ki pelje k tunelu Ucka, kasneje bolj umirjen tja do vasi pod prelazom, ki se na drugo stran prekucne proti Reki. Na prelazu je odcep desno proti vrhu, kjer je prijetno vijajoca lepa asfaltna pot, ki vodi slabih 7 kilometrov do vrha. Ob lepem vremenu so z vrha cudoviti razgledi po Istri, Kvarnerju ... tja do Alp. Velja upoštevati, da so temperature gor nižje kot spodaj. Konec maja, me je ob sicer poletnem vremenu presenetil svež sneg.
