Vzpon poteka najprej po betonirani cesti, nato po vedno slabšem makadamu in je, razen v srednjem delu, zelo strm. Za razglede je poskrbljeno,najprej se odpre na desno greben južnih bohinjskih gora z eko vasjo Cadrg, nato pa na levo krnsko pogorje z vasmi nad Soco. Prvi del spusta do planine Medrje najprej poteka preko pašnikov na planini Sleme in nato po lepo ohranjeni mulatieri. Spust se pricne na pod planino Školj najprej po cesti, nato pa po cudoviti singli, ki skoraj nima nobenih ovir. Proti koncu se izza ovinka pojavi še pravi slap.
