Die Cima Vezzena (1908 Meter) liegt südöstlich von Caldonazzo und war einst im 1ten Weltkrieg zu einer Festung ausgebaut. Noch immer thront das Fort am Gipfel und gibt beeindruckende Ausblicke in das Val Sugana. Diesen Ausblick muss man sich aber zumindest auf den letzten Höhenmetern hart erarbeiten. Start ist am Ortsrand von Caldonazzo. Mit flottem Reifen geht es den Kaiserjägerweg (Teerstraße) immer bergauf. Hier werden etliche Höhenmeter gemeistert und sollten kein Problem darstellen. Die letzten zwei- bis dreihundert Höhenmeter aber verlangen eine gute Kondition und Technik, wenn man ohne eine Zwangspause den Gipfel erreichen möchte. Grobes Geröll und tiefe Sandfurchen verhindern oft ein effektives Vorankommen. Der Gipfel der Cima Vezzena belohnt aber jede Mühe. Ein grandioser Ausblick und mächtig abfallende Bergflanken laden zum Verweilen und Staunen ein. Auch der Rückweg führt über den Geröllweg und doch einige Straßenkilometer, vorbei am Lago di Lavarone zurück. Aber nach einem Abzweig beginnt recht bald der Sentiero della Pace. Ein manchmal gefährlicher Trail erster Güte. Schmal, oft nahe am Abgrund, teilweise abgerissen und technisch schwierig stehen einem dabei die Schweißtropfen auf der Stirn. Nach dessen Überwindung fliegt man recht flott dem Startpunkt in Caldonazzo entgegen.

The Cima Vezzena (1908 meters) is located southeast of Levico and was once developed in the 1th World War into a fortress. Still perched on the summit of the fort and gives stunning views of the Val Sugana. But this view you have to at least work hard on the last meters. Home is on the outskirts of Levico. With a brisk tire it comes to Kaiserjägerweg (tar road) always uphill. Here some altitude to be mastered and should not be a problem. The last two to three hundred meters, but require a good level of fitness and technique, if you want to reach the top without a forced break. Coarse gravel and sand deep furrows often prevent real progress. But the summit of Cima Vezzena rewarded the effort. A magnificent view and powerful sloping hillsides invite you to stroll. Even the way back leads back across the scree and yet some road miles, past the Lago di Lavarone. But after a branch starts pretty soon the Sentiero della Pace. A sometimes dangerous trail first order. Narrow, often close to the edge, partially demolished and technically difficult to stand a while the drops of sweat on his forehead. After overcoming it to fly pretty fast against the starting point in Caldonazzo.
