Il percorso parte da Bagni di Lucca salendo i primi 5 km su asfalto e prosegue poi per altri 5 km alternando single track nel bosco a strade lastricate che attraversano alcuni caratteristici gruppetti di case.
Comincia poi la salita vera, su strada bianca, in gran parte su fondo ghiaioso e con un paio di strappi impegnativi ripagati però dal panorama di cui di gode; si sale fino al Col di Carpineta (837 m) poi si scende fino a una bel guado, si ricomincia quindi a salire, sempre su strada bianca e ripida fino a Foce al Lago (1103 m).
A questo punto la salita è pratimente finita, salvo qualche corto strappo e si inzia a scendere, in gran parte su divertenti single alternati a brevi tratti di asfalto.
Infine l'ultimissimo tratto su asfalto ci riporta alle macchine.

The route starts from Bagni di Lucca climbing the first 5 km of asphalt and then continues for another 5 km alternating single track in the woods on paved roads crossing some characteristic groups of houses.
Then begins the real climb on gravel road mostly on gravel and with a few snags, however, challenging rewarded by the view which to enjoy; climb up to the Col di Carpineta (837 m) and then descends to a nice ford, then it starts to rise, again on a dirt road and up a steep Mouth of the Lake (1103 m).
At this point the climb pratimente is over, except for some short tear and starts to go down, mostly on fun single alternating with short stretches of asphalt.
Finally, the very last stretch of asphalt brings us back to the machines.
