Dopo numerose ricerche sono riuscito a trovare un percorso misto asfalto+sterrato che da Pedavena mi porti fin quasi in cima al Monte Avena, circa 200 metri più in alto del passo.
Pur essendo asfaltati i tratti iniziale e finale, devo dire che in un sabato di pieno agosto non ho trovato nessuno che salisse in auto nè in moto.
Si inizia attraversando la frazione di Facen, da dove la strada inizia a salire in modo piuttosto brutale. Quando si trasforma in forestale, in diversi punti sono dovuto scendere a causa della pendenza troppo alta (>25%), si tratta di brevi tratti, lunghi decine di metri. In tutto si spinge la bici per 2-3 minuti al massimo.
In quota si rientra sulla strada che sale alla cima del Monte Avena, la si prende in discesa e in picchiata in pochi secondi si arriva al Passo. Da qui ci tuffiano sull'asfalto per i primi 3 km, che poi abbandoniamo per una forestale che ha tutta l'aria di essere la vecchia salita al Croce d'Aune.
Si attraversano numerose frazioni, tutte con baite perfettamente tenute o rimesse a nuovo e si giunge presto a Murer e Sovramonte, da un'angolazione del tutto nuova.
Giù ancora per asfalto e si arriva al Ponte sulla SS.50.
Ci togliamo subito dal traffico per dirigerci a Lamon. Numerose sono le fontane lungo questi chilometri. Prima del centro del paese seguiamo le indicazione per Vigne, la strada ben presto diventa sterrata e con un incredibile traverso (ben visibile anche dal fondovalle), attraversa un ghiaione e un tratto dirupato con meraviglioso panorama a 180 gradi.
Al termine del tratto pianeggiante la strada si inabissa con qualche tornante e termina su un torrente. Noi proseguiamo tenendo la destra e la traccia ora, per diversi chilometri, sarà solo ed esclusivamente un singletrack in saliscendi estremamente spettacolare, a tratti impegnativo per i meno abili, con pochissimi metri esposti (difficoltà da S1 a S2).
Dopo questo divertente sentiero, quasi arrivati a Case Bellotti, la frazione ormai abbandonata di Lamon, il sentiero riprende a scendere proprio mentre vediamo alla nostra destra la nostra amata strada della Cortella.
Terminata la discesa, un vero Canyon ci separa dall'altra sponda. Per fortuna un ponte sospeso (è proprio il caso di dirlo) ci fa balzare di là del fiume e dopo quest'altro spettacolare momento ci ritroviamo sulla Cortella.
Nella traccia ho postato il ritorno su asfalto, che ho fatto per problemi di tempo.
Questo itinerario sarebbe mia intenzione collegarlo con la salita al Vederna o alla Val Noana, quindi al Boz per poi scendere dal Passo Alvis in val Canzoi (già fatto, lo posterò a breve), o tramite il Passo Finestra (da fare, non appena trovo il coraggio).

After much research I managed to find a trail mix asphalt + Pedavena dirt road that takes me almost on top of the Monte Avena, about 200 feet above the pass.
Although unpaved sections beginning and ending, I must say that on a Saturday in the middle of August I have not found anyone who ascended in the car nor in motion.
It starts passing through the village of Facen, where the road begins to climb in a rather brutal. When it turns into forestry, in several points have had to go down because of the slope is too high (> 25%), it comes to short stretches, tens of meters long. In all pushing the bike for 2-3 minutes at most.
Top falls on the road that climbs to the summit of Monte Avena, you take it down and dive in a matter of seconds you arrive at the Pass. From here we tuffiano asphalt for the first 3 km, then we leave for a forest that has the air of being the old rose to Croce d'Aune.
Through several hamlets, each with huts perfectly seals or refurbished and arrive early to Murer and Sovramonte, from a completely new angle.
Down again for asphalt and arrive at the Bridge on SS.50.
We take off right away from the traffic and head to Lamon. There are numerous fountains along these miles. Before the town center follow the signs for Vigne, the road soon becomes dirt and with an incredible cross (also visible from the valley floor), crosses a steep scree and a stretch with wonderful 180 degree panorama.
At the end of flat stretch, the road sinks with a few hairpin bends and ends in a torrent. We continue taking the right track now, for several kilometers, will be solely and exclusively in a singletrack up and down extremely spectacular, at times challenging for the less able, with a few meters exposed (difficulty S1 to S2).
After this fun trail, almost to Case Bellotti, the now abandoned village of Lamon, the trail starts to descend just as we see on our right, our beloved road Cortella.
After the descent, a real Canyon separates us from the other side . Fortunately, a suspension bridge (it's appropriate to say) makes us jump across the river and after this one spectacular moment we find ourselves on Cortella.
In the trace I posted a return on asphalt, which I did for time.
This route would be my intention to connect with the ascent to Vederna or Val Noana, then at Boz and then down from the Pass Alvis in val Canzoi (already done, will post soon), or via the Pitch window (to do, just find the courage).
