Die Simmering Alm ist ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel in der Region Imst. Es ist im Umkreis so ziemlich die einzige Hütte, die im Frühjahr geöffnet hat und deren Kaiserschmarrn schon vom legendären Elmar Moser zum Besten in den nördlichen Alpen geadelt wurde (den wir jedoch abgeschreckt vom rasselnden Husten der Wirtin nicht probiert haben). Die Aussicht auf der Alm mit einem Rundblick über die Ötztaler Alpen bis zur Mieminger Kette ist spektakulär. Tourbeschreibung Am Parkplatz fährt man den Forstweg weiter in den Wald. Bald erreicht man einen weiteren Parkplatz und fährt an der Schranke vorbei stets der Beschilderung Simmering Alm folgend. Die ersten 250 hm wird man vom Surren der Hochspannungsleitungen begleitet, die man ab dem weiteren Abzweig zur Alm aber hinter sich lässt. Man folgt stets dem Hauptweg bis zur Alm. Die Auffahrt hat gesamt ca. 780 hm am Stück auf sehr gutem und nie zu steilem Forstweg. Der Wald gibt immer wieder Blicke zu den Ötztaler Alpen frei. Nach Rast auf der Alm fährt man auf gleichem Weg zurück bis zum Abzweig. Von dort kann man nun direkt zurück zum Parkplatz fahren oder, wie in dieser Tour noch ein paar Höhenmeter drauflegen, indem man den Grünberg auf dem Panoramaweg umrundet. Auf dem Weg eröffnen sich schöne Blicke auf die Mieminger Berge und das Inntal. Man stösst schliesslich wieder auf den bekannten Wegabzweig und rollt von hier zurück zum Parkplatz. The Simmering Alm is a popular destination in the Imst. It is within pretty much the only cabin that opened in the spring and the pancake has been knighted by the legendary Elmar Moser to the best in the Northern Alps (we have, however, deterred from rattling cough the landlady not tried). The views of the pasture with a round views of the Ötztal Alps to the Mieminger chain is spectacular. Tour Description From the parking lot driving the forestry road in the forest.
