Für Freunde des Penken und evtl. auch Gäste des Sporthotel Stock / Zillertal im Frühjahr eine nette Einstiegsrunde zum Konditionsammeln. Der erste Trail beginnt in Höhe der kleinen Kapelle und führt am alten Zollhaus vorbei. (Hinweis : der schöne Abschlußtrack (beginnend am Friedhof Finkenberg, den Naturlehrpfad abwärts wird in dieser Tour erst am Ende gefahren; der Trail ist anspruchsvoller und sollte bitte nur von geübteren Fahrer(innen) gemacht werden. Der Trail kann aber auch am Anfang gefahren werden). Die Hauptroute führt vorbei am Leonhard Stock Weg, Richtung Zell, Uderns und Strass. Die Strecke bietet einige Varianten rechts/links des Ziller (auch möglich der "Zillerweg", direkt an der Ziller). Die von mir gefahrene Tour war nahe an der Bahnstrecke der Zillertaler (Schmalspur-) Bahn. Mit etwas Glück begegnet man einer alten "U" (dampfbetriebene Lok) die in Mayrhofen Endstation hat. Bergauf (Mayerhofen/Finkenberg) ist ein Teil Schiebestrecke dabei, heimwärts vorbei dann am Personalhaus des Sporthotel Stock und der kleinen Kapelle in der Kurve (Ende am alten Zollhaus). Die Strecke eigenet sich prima zum "Konditionsammeln" wenn auf dem Penken noch Schnee liegt. In Strass empfehle ich als "Einkehr" die Terrasse des Hotel Post www.gopost.at/, vis a vis vom Bahnhof mit Blick auf die alte Kirche am Berg. Viel Spaß. PS : ein Tipp im Sommer : bei Kilometer 32 ca. in Richtung talauswärts befindet sich ein sehr schöner, künstlicher Badesee der zur Rast einlädt. (Link zum Caffee : www.see-cafe-schlitters.com/
