In effetti la traccia è monca, manca il tratto su strada asfaltata e fortemente trafficata, che da Fenestrelle, porta alla frazione Traverses di Pragelato.
Abbiamo preferito lasciare un auto a Fenestrelle, per partire direttamente su sterrato, questo ci ha fatto fare 1400 metri circa di salita e quasi 1800 in discesa, praticamente tutto off road.
La salita imboccata la Val Troncea, parte abbastanza morbida e ciclabile, fino ad una struttura tipo rifugio dove ci si può ristorare (fanno una buona torta).
Oltre, il sentiero impenna, costringendo a tratti di portage, raggiunto il Col del Pis, ci appare davanti la meta, il Colle Albergian, purtroppo per raggiungerlo, si devono perdere quasi 300 metri di dislivello, non considerate il sentiero alto a sinistra, non è transitabile.
Attraversato il vallone, si risale con tratti importanti a spinta, fino a raggiungere, il colle.
Da qui inizia una discesa che a tratti, all'inizio, è decisamente ostica a causa del dissesto, poi diventa impegnativa, divertente e lunghissima.
Avvicinandosi a Laux, il sentiero diventa sterrato, fino al paese, ci infiliamo nelle sue viuzze, e in breve riprendiamo un sentiero sempre con discreti tratti tecnici che ci fa arrivare a Fenestrelle.
N.B. l'auto l'abbiamo lasciata un centinaio di metri sotto il paese, su uno slargo sterrato che nonostante l'alta stagione, non ha dato problemi di parcheggio.
E' un giro stupendo, per chi ama la montagna con la M maiuscola e le discese ricche di spunti tecnici, quasi mai esasperati.

NB the car we left a hundred yards below the village, on an unpaved that despite the high season, did not give any parking problems.
