DESCRIZIONE:

Towards Linear - Length = 67 Km - Climb Sal / Disc = +1750 m
Quote Min / Max = 840/2455 - Standard Time hours 6:40 min
Average speed = 10.1 km / h - saddle on time 94% (25 min walk)
Technical Difficulty = 5-7 Medium / Hard - GD = 81 HARD
DESCRIPTION:
The next morning we are already in the saddle at 5:30; gives a strong feeling, indescribable, dawn already be at the top and start down breathing in the cold air and clear air as the sun touches the highest peaks and valleys are still sleeping in the shadows ... so hopefully sleep well the guards forest. In fact, this night in two stages has been designed specifically to be able to switch between fork Lavaredo to ref. Locatelli, forbidden zone, before 8. Descend quickly Misurina then go back to the regular way; no one at the toll facilities; you get to the Rif. Auronzo (q.2330) and then to Lavaredo, finally you reach the fork in the homonymous q.2455 (q.max) .Via free!
The fund is very good, the road wide enough. ..dispiace lot that have banned the bike (maybe because in summer days is traversed by a stream of people walking); however, our ploy to follow it in the morning it happened. In descent from Ref. Locatelli you get pretty good at a scenic spot with lots of bench and table; forward cycling down and only the most skilled can stay in the saddle
(the average biker will do about 15 minutes on foot) in the wp E (q.1600) ends the most difficult and shortly after, the Shack Fondovalle begins a road even if closed to ordinary traffic. Fast descent to Moso then begins the climb to Malga Nemes: the bottom is great but in the central section has a Km with very steep slopes. Since wp J return to the Nemes where you can not miss a refreshment break (recommended: eggs-spek-potatoes). The descent step is easy but requires attention and respect for the many hikers (... that we do not even prohibit this). From the pass, Monte Croce still a nice descent to Val Grande and an equally delicious slight slope just above Padola (wp q.1250 Q1). Then go up the road leading to the pass of St. Anthony but q.1350 (R wp) if you leave it for a forest on a slight slope which soon narrows and the path to wp S appiederà there for a few minutes, until achieve a higher forest which starts turning left. You can easily get to the fork Zambei (from which it would be possible to digress to the nearby village of Danta (2 Km in dir. East..) Here you change the side, a little 'climb to the Col Zovo (or St. Anthony ) q.1480, then begins the descent of Auronzo we do by following CAI (No. 14 and No. 12.) Some steep sections and a little 'exposed, require caution and some short walk but overall it's worth it, and you comes just above the center of Auronzo; crossed the main road descends rapidly to the parking lot on the long-lake.
