Trail Description


Ich war in Neusiedl am See eingeladen. Der Wetterbericht verkündete strammen NW-Wind. Da die Straßenstrecke zum See nicht sehr reizvoll ist, habe ich versucht, das ganze mit dem MTB und mit möglichst wenig öffentlichen Straßen und möglichst wenig Asfalt zu planen. Die Strecke beginnt bei der U3-Endstation Simmering und führt dann vorbei am Verschubbahnhof Kledering. Über Güterwege, zum Teil auch asfaltierte, kleine Nebenstraßen und Forstwege kommt man schön voran. Bie NW-Wind sind die startenden und landenden Flugzeuge von Schwechat Begleiter der Tour bis zum See. Ab Trautmannsdorf sind die Wegerl zum Teil ziemlich ramponiert und schlammig, da dort das Bundesheer ihre Panzer und Geländefahrzeuge äußerln führt.  Nach Sommerrein beginnt der wirkliche MTB-Teil. Über den Weitwanderweg 999 durchquert man das Leithagebirge (bei Nässe leider sehr schlechter, zäh klebriger Matsch). Bei der Abfahrt hat man einen schönen Blick auf den See. Über den Radweg und Güterwege gelangt man  nach Neusiedl am See.

I was invited in Neusiedl am See. The weather forecast announced brisk northwest wind. As the road route to & nbsp; lake is not very attractive, I tried to plan the whole thing with the MTB and with as little public roads and as little tarmac. The route starts at the U3 terminus Simmering and then passes the shunting Kledering. About freight routes, partly paved, & nbsp; small side roads and forest roads to get ahead nicely. Bie northwest wind are taking off and landing aircraft of Schwechat companion tour to the lake. From Trautmannsdorf the Wegerl are sometimes quite battered and muddy, because there the army their tanks and ATVs leads äußerln. & Nbsp; After summer clean the real MTB part begins. About the Weitwanderweg 999 (unfortunately very bad in the wet, sticky mud tough) you cross the Leitha Mountains. At the exit there is a beautiful view of & nbsp; lake. About the bike path and supply roads leads & nbsp; to Neusiedl am See. & nbsp;
