Trail Description

Starting from Finalpia continue on the Via Aurelia, direction west, until fork to loc. San Bernardino where you turn right (WP002) and start to climb out of asphalt following the "SPORTING CLUB". It dates back until you reach Via Lilienfeld where the dirt road begins in about 1km up and down the trail leads us lla "Dolmen". Start Here a beautiful descent technique that sometimes, Tenedos the crossroads on the right, brings us up to Final Borgo. Beyond the Eagle Creek turn right (wp012) in Via Sottoripa, better known as the "Path of the wash." Entered the village of Finale, keep right and start to climb up the steps as technical but ridable (... not for everyone;-)) to rejoin the pavement that leads to the foot of Castel locker with steep ramps but still ridable. There you leave the castle on the left until you reach the village of Perti (wp016) where there is a fountain of drinking water. Continue in the direction of Valley Homes paved road until you reach the car park of Monte Sordo (wp017). You take down the pavement towards Chalice (ONO) and after about 200m turn right on the path to coming out in street Olive. continue on the asphalt for a few hundred meters, turn right and take uphill Via Dante Alighieri. It now follows the trail "red triangle" before on steep ramps in asphalt and gravel then with peaks of 28% !!!! and average slope and 9%. Reaching the top of the hill, continue on the main dirt road for about 700m. Reached a widening attention is paid to take the path downhill (wp020) called "The Woodshed": 5 minutes of pure fun and 800m between technical sections and sliding where the absolute imperative is let go the brakes !. After reaching the main dirt road, turn left and after a few tens of meters turn left on the path "+" to go upwards with the bike on the side for the first stretch and then get a little more for cycling in the upper part. After some sacrifices so you can reach the paved road that leads to the Carbuta Melogno. Then turn down the hill in the direction Melogno and suffer (a little less now) still for 1.5 miles until you reach the entrance of the path down longer (and perhaps more fun) of the day: Pian Merlin variant right. 2.2 km to 340m in altitude negative that leave you breathless.
Arriving in the village of Feglino you can refresh in the bar of the country or decide to go back immediately in the direction of Orco on the provincial road (3 km, 180 m in altitude ). Once in Orco it comes down to a few hundred meters of asphalt to have easy access to the ruins of the church of San Lorenzo. The original idea to close the circle and back to Final Pia was to walk the path of Ciappi upside down and then do the path of Ruggetta downhill to Calvisio. The fatigue of a day spent in part to push the bike stto abundant flakes of snow and a wind chill making it lit up the idea of ??crossing the bellisimo and almost entirely to cycle path that runs along the west side of Monte Cucco "red diamond trail "and then brings us back to the Bric Pianarella until the departure of the last exciting descent of the" Ruggetta "(3,5 km, -310 m altitude).
remains to refine the GRAND TOUR FINAL version in the summer to reach 2000 m in altitude and touch other exciting areas of the Ligurian mountain biking mecca to achieve such an encyclopedic tour of the paths of the Finale.
