Schöne Tour mit ein wenig Nordostseekanal, toller Singletrail an der Eckernförder Bucht und etwas Hüttener Berge. Edit: Überwiegender Strassenanteil(85%), 15% Gelände. Los gehts in Kiel Mettenhof, Narvikstrasse, Hof Akkerboom. Die Tour führt uns ersteinmal direkt zum NO-Kanal, wo es auf einem schönen Trail zur Fähre geht. Dort setzen wir über, müssen einen kleinen Anstieg nehmen und setzen die Tour nach Gettorf fort. In Gettorf führt es uns am Zoo vorbei, der einen Besuch lohnt, aber auch Zeit frißt. Eintrittspreis liegen aktuell bei 7 Euro/Erw. Weiter geht es auf teilweise ungeteerter Straße nach Neudorf und an den Aschauer Strand. Hier kann man sich schön in die Dünen legen, und kurz die Sonne auf den Pelz scheinen lassen. (Wer die vergrabene Bananenschale findet, hat gewonnen! ;o) ) Weiter gehts direkt am Strand durch Dünenpfade. Etwas beschwerlich, weil der Untergrund nicht durchgängig fest ist. Aber schön! Danach kommt ein genialer Steilküsten/Wald-Trail, der richtig Spaß macht. An einer Stelle blockierte ein umgefallener Baum die Strecke, also mußten wir die Räder die Böschung runter zum Strand, und hinter dem Baum wieder hochtragen. Anstrengend, nichts für Gelegenheitsradler! Aber ich denke, man kann auch in den Wald ausweichen. Danach erreicht man entlang des Strandes auch bald Eckernförde. Fischbrötchen am Hafen nicht vergessen! Nach einer Stärkung setzen wir die Fahrt Richtung Hüttener Berge fort. Diese kratzen wir nur am Rande an, bevor es am Bistensee und Wittensee entlang geht. An der Sehestedter Fähre setzen wir über, und dann gehts durch die Felder auf geteerten Nebenstrassen zurück nach Kiel. Alternativ kann man nach der Fähre auch am Kanal weiter fahren, denn dort kann man sich noch den alten Eiderkanal und die historische Schleuse anschauen. http://www.krummwisch.de/gemeinde/schleuse/schleuse.php Achtung! Leckere Äpfel an der Infotafel! Danach ist es ein leichtes wieder auf den GPS-Kurs zu kommen. Am Flemhuder See kann es nach feuchten Tagen nochmal matschig werden, aber dafür wird man mit einem schönen Singletrail den See entlang belohnt. Spaß! Jetzt ist es auch nicht mehr weit bis zum Ziel. Nice tour with a little Kiel Canal, great singletrack at the Eckernförder bay and something Hüttener mountains. Edit: Predominant Street share (85%), 15% offroad. Here we go in Kiel Mettenhof, Narvikstrasse, courtyard Akkerboom. The tour takes us firstonce directly to the NO channel, where it goes on a beautiful trail to the ferry. There we put on, must take a small rise and continue the tour after Gettorf continued. In Gettorf it leads us to the zoo over, is worth a visit, but also eats time. Admission are currently at 7 euros / adult. Continue on partially unpaved road to Neudorf and the Aschauer beach. Here you can lay nicely in the dunes, and just the sun on the fur seem to be. (Who finds the buried banana peel, won; o)) Next go right on the beach with dunes paths. Bit difficult, because the ground is not consistently established. But beautiful! Then comes a brilliant cliffs / forest trail, the real fun. At one point a fallen tree blocked the route, so we had the wheels the slope down to the beach, and carried up again behind the tree. Exhausting, not for casual cyclists! But I think you can escape in the forest. Then, walking along the beach soon Eckernförde. Fish sandwiches at the port not forget! After a snack we continue driving towards Hüttener mountains. This we scratch only on the edge, before it goes on Bistensee and Wittensee along. At the Sehestedter ferry to cross over, and then go through the fields on the paved side streets back to Kiel. Alternatively, you can continue on to the ferry and the channel, because there you can still see the old Eider Canal and the historic lock. http://www.krummwisch.de/gemeinde/schleuse/schleuse.php Attention! Delicious apples on the information board! Then it is easy to come back to the GPS heading. On Flemhuder lake may again be muddy after wet days, but it will be rewarded with a nice single trail along the lake. Fun! Now it is also not far to the goal. Enjoy your descendants!
