Wir starten unsere Tour an einem kleinen Restaurant direkt an der Straße. Hier lohnt es wirklich nach der Tour auf ein paar Tapas oder auch eine Hauptspeise einzukehren, denn das Essen ist lecker und die Preise super günstig (0,33l Bier 1,50 Euro, Tapas ab 2 Euro). Die Tour führt durch die Ortschaft hinauf an einem Restaurant mit Panoramafenster vorbei. Dort folgen wir dem breiten Weg (nicht dem kleinen Singletrail der auch mit einem Verbotsschild für MTB gesperrt ist). Dann geht es ca. 600hm den Berg hinauf, teilweise auch recht steil. Am Ende geht es durch einen recht urtümlichen Lorbeerwald bevor wir an einem Funkturm auf eine Seitenstraße gelangen. Hier fahren allerdings keine oder kaum Autos. Auf Asphalt geht es bis zur Hauptstraße Richtung Erjos. In Erjos geht es zwischen ein paar Häusern durch, von einem Schild das die Durchfahrt für Fahrrader verbietet lassen wir uns nicht stören, denn wir fahren nur ca. 200m auf diesem Weg. Dann geht es wieder durch den Teno-Nationalpark durch schönen Lorbeerwald immer bergab zurück nach Las Portelas. Die Tour ließe sich ggf. auch in die andere Richtung fahren und wäre dann vielleicht wegen steilerem Downhill-Teil noch spannender.

We start our tour at a small restaurant just off the road. Here it is really worth after the tour stopping off at some tapas or a main course, because the food is delicious and the prices extremely cheap (0.33l beer 1.50 euros, tapas from 2 euros). The tour leads through the village up past a restaurant with panoramic windows. Here we follow the wide path (not the small single track of with a prohibition sign for MTB & nbsp; locked). Then it's about 600hm up the hill, sometimes very steep. In the end, it goes through a fairly primitive laurel forest before we get to a radio tower on a side street. Here, however, take no or hardly any cars. On asphalt, it goes to the main road direction Erjos. In Erjos it passes between a couple of houses, a sign that prohibits the passage for bikes we do not let us disturb, because we only drive about 200m along this road. Then it's back through the Teno National Park through beautiful laurel forest all downhill back to Las Portelas. The tour could be possibly also in the other direction would go and then maybe because of steeper downhill part more exciting.
