Trail Description


Da Fluelen, seguendo il corso del fiume canalizzato, si và al paese di Seedorf, lo si attraversa e puntando verso l’evidente gola della montagna si inizia la lunga e impegnativa salita verso la Ditschital. Molto impegnativa e dura la salita in alta valle, pochi per non dire assenti i tratti di leggera pendenza. Parte iniziale tutta su asfalto e tratto centrale in alta valle su largo sterrato fino alla Malga Distieren m. 1526. Da qui, bike in spalla fino al Colle Laucheren 1820. (attenzione! all’inizio nel prato i segnali sono poco evidenti). Superato questo tratto ancora più impegnativo e faticoso, lungo un largo crinale più agevole ci si avvicina al passo, attraversando poi un ghiaione si accede al Surenenpass. Arrivati al passo, la parte più dura e impegnativa di questo giro finalmente la si lascia alle spalle. Dal Surenenpass, guardando sul versante opposto, il paesaggio cambia completamente aspetto, tutto appare più maestoso, semplice, rilassante e con un’ampia scenografia di alte montagne e ghiacciai. Ora ci attende una lunga discesa verso Engelberg, circondati da una catena montuosa, dominata dal Blachenstok m.2930, che appoggia le sue basi rocciose su verdeggianti e lisci scivoli prativi. Lungo questo tratto, la discesa a valle, in sella alla bike, è veramente divertente e sopratutto senza pericoli di rilievo. Si scende lungo la Surenenval con buone possibilità per una sosta ristoratrice, essendo la vallata, punteggiata da piccoli ma suggestivi ristori. (attenzione! alla quota 1631, seguire le indicazioni Engelbrg, scendendo un breve tratto bici alla mano). Si arriva così, dopo una lunga discesa in uno dei centri turistico più famosi della svizzera a Engelberg. Abbiamo a questo punto completato solo una parte di questo ampio giro. Ora si deve scende ancora più giù, verso Stans e Buochs, per poi ritrovarci nuovamente quasi a livello del lago. In uscita da Engelberg, con una breve deviazione in corrispondenza di un bacino d’acqua, si imbocca un largo sentiero sterrato che corre parallelamente al fianco del torrente che poi in fondo valle si trasforma in un più placido corso d’acqua, e seguendolo fedelmente sempre lungo sterrati e stradine in aperta campagna, ci conduce verso Stans, passando da Grafenord – Wolfenschiessen – Buren per poi arrivati a Waltersberg piegare alla destra e continuare al fianco dell’autostrada per un lungo tratto.(attenzione! ad un certo punto la stradina termina improvvisamente dando l’impressione di aver sbagliato percorso, seguire ora per un breve tratto un sentiero nel prato che poi riporta a ricollegarsi al tracciato successivo. Giunti sopra le abitazioni di Bechenried, si riprende a salire verso Stafel, lungo una serie di tornanti, per poi abbandonare questa salita e procedere più facilmente con un lungo traverso panoramico sul lago, verso Emmetten e di seguito verso Oberdorf. Si aggira il centro abitato e si và ad imboccare un largo sentiero sterrato nel mezzo di un bellissimo bosco, lo si attraversa in parte per poi iniziare l’ultima parte di questo infinito giro. Siamo sopra al lago nuovamente e questa volta però in direzione rientro. Anche in questo caso, nella fase discendente, improvvisamente la strada termina alle case di Hoster e ci si infila in uno stretto sentiero che in breve si trasforma in un ripido sentiero scalinato. Ancora una volta, bici alla mano fino al lago in località Bauen. Non siamo però ancora alla fine del giro, restano 11 Km. da pedalare lungo la sponda del lago, un sinuoso ma splendido sterrato che in parte si snoda lungo la vecchia strada ora abbandonata e sostituita da una più veloce e scorrevole. Attraversando anche una serie di gallerie che consentivano il passaggio nei punti dove la montagna scende a picco nel lago, il rientro è molto facilitato e scorrevolissimo. Giunti nuovamente nei pressi di Seedorf, infilandosi lungo la riva del lago in sinuosi passaggi si conclude questo strabiliante giro nuovamente al punto di partenza. Questa descrizione è sommaria e con ampie lacune, tanto e troppo ci sarebbe da descrivere e raccontare, di certo è stata una sfida con me stesso, per conoscerne i miei limiti, ma soprattutto per soddisfare un desiderio e provare quelle sensazioni che solo affrontando simili tracciati si possono incamerare nell’animo e aggiungere nuova linfa vitale per proseguire e continuare fino a quando sarà possibile, vivere questi indimenticabili e irripetibili attimi di vita. Sergio classe 1947 Nota Itinerario a mio avviso splendido sotto ogni aspetto. Dislivello iniziale m.1800 e totale m. 2580, non indifferente la distanza Km. 88, con un impegno fisico sottoposto al limite per 9/10 ore, ma il tutto ripagati da un giro fantastico e sbalorditivo. Con questa escursione, si ha la possibilità di osservare in sequenza, splendide vallate. Dopo una lunga e impegnativa salita che inizia dal lago a Fluelen, si và alla scoperta della Gitschital e di seguito lungo un crinale panoramico al Surenenpass. Dal Surenenpass, il paesaggio cambia completamente aspetto con una lunga discesa verso Engelberg circondati da una catena montuosa, dominata dal Blachenstok m.2930. Si scende lungo la Surenenval con buone possibilità per una sosta ristoratrice essendo punteggiata da piccoli ma suggestivi punti di ristoro. Si arriva così in uno dei centri turistico più famosi della svizzera a Engelberg. Si lascia alle spalle un paesaggio di alta montagna e si scende nella verdeggiante vallata verso Stans e Buochs per poi osservare nuovamente il lago dall’altopiano di Emmetten. Nuova discesa al lago e questa volta lungo la vecchia strada trasformata in ciclabile rientrare a Fluelen. Le osservazioni e i punti panoramici degni di nota sono infiniti, ma sono certo che a questo punto, rimarranno impressi nella mente per un lungo tempo.

Along this stretch, the descent to the valley, riding the bike, it's really funny and above all without the dangers of relief. We descend along the Surenenval with a good chance for a refreshment stop, being the valley, dotted with small but evocative refreshments. (Be careful to share in 1631, follow the signs Engelbrg, down a short bike to the hand). So we arrive, after a long descent into one of the most famous tourist centers in Switzerland to Engelberg. We have now completed only a part of this extensive tour. Now you have to descend even lower, to Stans and Buochs, only to end up again almost to the level of the lake. Output from Engelberg, with a brief detour at a basin d & rsquo; water, take a wide dirt path that runs parallel to the side of the stream that then at the bottom of the valley is transformed into a more placid course d & rsquo, water, and following it faithfully always along dirt roads and lanes in the open countryside, leads us to Stans, from Grafenord & ndash; Wolfenschiessen & ndash; Buren then arrived at Waltersberg bend to the right and continue to the left of the & rsquo; highway for a long stretch.
