Lesachtal Birnbaum – Grifitz-light: Bei der Tour handelt es sich um eine sehr schöne und leichte MTB Tour ohne technische schwierige Abfahrtspassagen. Sie beginnt in Birnbaum ca. 10 km nach Kötschach-Mauthen und führt anfangs über die sehr steile Gemeindestraße Richtung Kornat vorbei an der Kornater Kirche. In einer Rechtskehre sieht man schon die Wegweiser Richtung Griffitz. Über den anfangs noch etwas steilen Forstweg geht es in Richtung Griffitz. Der Forstweg wird nach kurzer Zeit relativ flach und kann sehr entspannt befahren werden. Wer will kann mit dem Bike oder zu Fuß einen Abstechen zum Griffitzgipfelkreuz machen und die unglaubliche Aussicht auf das Gail- u. Lesachtal genießen. Die Abfahrt führt anfangs über eine etwas schlechteren Forst-, Karrenweg und in weiterer folge über einen schönen Forstweg Richtung Tal. In Egg kann man den Track folgend über den unteren Mühlenweg wieder nach Richtung Birnbaum abzweigen und spart sich somit eine kurze Fahrt über die Bundesstraße. Auch dieser Teil ist recht leicht befahrbar. Die Schwierigkeit der Abfahrt bewerte ich für mich mit 1-2.
