Si tratta di un itinerario non particolarmente impegnativo, ma molto panoramico, con vista su tutta la parte nord-est dell'Isola, Molto belle le calette da Rio Marina a Cavo. Suggestiva la salita da Cavo al mausoleo Tonetti, dove non è raro scorgere i cinghiali. Magnifico il panorama che si gode dal monte Grosso, con vista su mezza isola.
VARIANTI
Scendendo dal monte Grosso, prendere il sentiero non molto visibile che si dirama a dx, divertente con tratti tecnici, e ricongiungersi sulla strada asfaltata
CONSIGLI
deviazione per vedere il mausoleo Tonietti e a Rio nell'Elba salire fino al paese per una visita al centro
