Eine Radrunde, die es in sich hat! Molln – Steinbach – Steyr – Ternberg – Schoberstein – Molln. Aber: Rad schieben ist nicht verboten! Start wieder wie bei Tour 65768 in Molln. Zuerst nach Leonstein und auf den Original-Steytalradweg (alte Bahntrasse) nach Steinbach. Hier haben wir uns zum Glück 100 m verfahren und kamen deshalb zu dem Museumsbahnhof Grünburg. Dann weiter rechtsseitig auf ausgeschildertem Radweg nach Steyr, bzw. zuerst noch zur Wallfahrtskirche Christkindl. Stadbesichtigung in Steyr, deshalb die etwas komplizierte Wegführung in der Stadt. Dann auf dem Ennsradweg recht unangenehm immer auf einer Hauptstraße bis zur Abzweigung ins Trattenbachtal. Trattenbach ist ein einziges Museum, beinahe in jedem Haus ist etwas zu besichtigen. Hier fertigt man die Taschenfeitel, ein besonderes Messer. Nun geht’s zur Sache. Schon auf der Teerstraße wird man die kleinen Gänge brauchen, dann ab dem Wasserfall steilt sich die Schotterstraße auf ca. 24 % auf. Eine Linkskurve mit Betonbrücke, das schlimmste ist dann geschafft. Wußte dies nicht und stieg ca. 30 m davor ab. Nun geht’s aber immer noch recht anstrengend weiter, vor dem Pfaffenboden eine neue Abzweigung nach links und dann, auf der Südseite des Berges, immer Richtung Osten, dann nochmal ein kurzes Steilstück und die Hütte ist erreicht. In wenigen Minuten steht man dann auf dem Gipfel und kann nach Norden Richtung Steyr und Enns blicken. Bei guter Sicht soll man bis ins Donautal schauen können. Abfahrt zum Pfaffenboden, aber hier Vorsicht: Wegen Sprengarbeiten beim Trichterabbau von Kalkstein kann die Straße gesperrt sein: Mo 12 – 17, Di-Do 9-17, Fr 9-12 laut Tafel. Ab Pfaffenboden geht’s nur noch bis zur Autostraße in Dornbach abwärts bis die Bremsen rauchen. Dann noch kurze Strecke auf der Autostraße zurück nach Molln. Laut Beschreibung soll die Auffahrt von Trattenbach zur Schoberhütte eine der steilsten Straßen Österreichs sein. Dennoch würde ich die Runde nur in dieser Richtung empfehlen, denn abends bei einem Weißbier auf der Schoberhütte zu sitzen ist ein Genuß.
