Kleine Feierabendrunde: Ausgangspunkt ist der Berggasthof Hocheck, von hier startet man vorbei am Tiergehege bergan parallel zur Skipiste. Zunächst immer geradeaus dem Fostweg folgen. Nach ca. 2-3 Km mündet der Forstweg in einen schönen Singletrail. Achtung es gibt 2-3 knifflige Wurzelpassagen. Am Ende des Singletrails gelangt man auf einen Fostweg, den man bis zur nächsten Kreuzung folgt. Hier geht es jetzt links, bergauf Richtung Wildgrub/Rechenau. Jetzt gilt es im Wald einige Höhenmeter zu erklimmen. Ist das geschafft gleitet man über schöne Almwiesen Richtung Wildgrub/Rechenau. Wenn ihr nicht zu schnell seid, werdet ihr am Ortsausgang von Wildgrub auf der rechten Seite eine schöne, kleine Kapelle bemerken ;-). Der Weg führt uns jetzt weiter nach Rechnenau, dort links abbiegen und der Straße bis zu einer scharfen Rechtskurve folgen (s. Wegpunkt: Abzweig Wallerhof). Ab hier geht es auf Singletrails weiter Richtung Gasthof Wallerhof und von dort Richtung Ramsauer Hof. Am Ramsauer Hof hält man sich links und fährt hinauf in den Wald. Es folgt ein ordentlicher Aufstieg, zunächst auf Forstwegen und das letzte Stück auf Singletrails bis zum Bergasthof Hocheck. Kurze aber sehr schöne Tour. Small Feierabendrunde: The starting point is the mountain inn Hocheck, from here you start passing the vivarium uphill parallel to the ski slope. First, go straight to the Fostweg follow. After about 2-3 km of the forest opens into a nice single trail. Note there are 2-3 tricky root sections. At the end of the singletrack leads to a Fostweg, the follow up to the next intersection. This is now left, uphill direction Wildgrub / Rechenau. Now it is in the forest to climb some meters. Is this managed to glide across beautiful alpine meadows direction Wildgrub / Rechenau. If you are not too fast, you will on the right side a nice little chapel notice on the outskirts of Wildgrub;-). The path now leads us on to Rechnenau, turn left and the road to a sharp right turn followed (see waypoint. Branch Wallerhof). From here it goes to singletrack on towards Gasthof Wallerhof and from there towards Ramsauer yard. On Ramsauer yard keep left and go up into the forest. It follows a decent climb, first on forest roads and the last piece on single trails to Bergasthof Hocheck. Short but very nice tour.
