Trail Description

Scroll down for English. For those who want to enjoy the fantastic Allgäu scenery and the amazing views deep in to the Alps but don't feel up to the Alp Tour (Tour 3618). Starting from Jons Adventures in Nesselwang, this route follows side roads and farm tracks to reach Pfronten Kappel. From there it is all up hill to the Kappeler Alpe and a well deserved drink. From the hut you have spectacular views east towards the Zugspitz (highest mountain in Germany) and King Ludwig's fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle. After the Alpe the route continues up to join the Engelberg track which takes you back to Nesselwang. The diversion to Sporthein Böck is well worth the few extra metres of climb for the spectacular views. On the way down do not miss the pilgrims church at Maria Trost
