Trail Description

Buon viaggio!

I sibillini are the setting for this Grand Tour. 'An especially challenging round nell'erta initial the first 13 km are a bit challenging but rose in share the fatigue of the ascent is blinded by the beauty of the landscape. Have faith and do not be discouraged by the initial part. The tour is very comprehensive especially for the breathtaking views and the feeling of being far away from anywhere.
The tour is spread mainly in the umbra of the park, however, you cross the boundaries of the region Marche and Lazio.

The path was made on 22.10.2010 in solitary. I would say the best time is autumn, few people and colors of the wood outstanding (end of September, mid-October). In fact, each season offers its ideas and its colors the choice is yours. Obviously winter is impractical for the snow. Well served by water, there are numerous sources along the route and the places where eventually eat (Castelluccio, Rifugio degli Alpini, Nordica etc..). The tour is for those who have a good workout and is accomplished in a day (7-8ore calmly and including lunch break), but because it is good to stop and observe the fabulous scenery and it would make little sense to do it all in one breath. I learned to drive to walk there, but they are few and mostly brief. A little 'complicated the final stretch, you have to trust the gps on and off the track before in the woods to get to a dry creek down to the valley. The trail is almost invisible in this section because it is completely covered by leaves. For the rest of the path is always well marked.
A big thank you to barbonis because this is nothing more than a union of its two plotted a reworked Norcia - Norcia and Patino Val-Val di Pescia.

great trip!
