Nach einer Einfahrphase entlang dem Halblech geht´s vor einer Brücke links ab auf Schotter und dann stetig steil bergan. Erst am Grat wird´s wieder flacher und es gibt ein paar sehr schöne Ausblicke. Im lockeren auf und ab geht´s bis unter den Gipfel der niederen Blaik. Dort wird der Weg zunächst schmal und die letzten 150 hm unfahrbar, d.h schieben ist angesagt. Seit Sommer 2011 ist der Weg bis oben gebaut, jedoch sehr holprig und steil. Nur für absolute Cracks fahrbar. Die Belohnung ist ein schöner Gipfelplatz an der hohen Blaik und danch eine super Rundumsicht von der niederen Blaik. Dafür empfiehlt sich natürlich einen Tag mit guter Fernsicht zu wählen. Die Abfahrt ist die ersten 100 hm wieder unfahrbar, aber dann kommt für Spezialisten ein wunderbarer Trail, der wahrscheinlich erst beim 2. Mal richtig Spaß macht. (stimmt!) Die Abfahrt auf Kiesweg bis zum Gasthaus Unternogg ist wieder easy. Dort ist eine Einkehr obligatorisch, sehr empfehlenswerte Küche! Der Rückweg geht gemütlich den Königsweg Ludwig II entlang und man kann den Tag schön ausklingen lassen.
