Start in Hinterriß am Wanderparkplatz am Eingang des Ortes. Zuerst gut 10 km auf der Teerstrasse in angenehmer Steigung zur Abzweigung Hinter den Haglhütten. Von hier schlängelt sich die Forststrasse zum Plumsjochhaus. Es gibt selten eine genussvoller Auffahrt. Die gute Forststrasse zieht sich zum Plumsjoch / Plumsjochhütte in ständig angenehmer Steigung. Die wunderbare Kullisse des Karwendels immer im Blick. Von der Plumsjochhütte steigt man weiter zu Fuss zum Gipfel des Kompars. Dies sind noch gut 500 hm. Der Weg schlängelt sich gut wanderbar entlang der Südflanken des Plumsjoches & Kompars. Nach gut 1,5 Stunden erreicht man den Gipfel. Abstieg & Abfahrt entlang des Aufstiegsweges. Wunderschöne Tour mit schöner Einkehrmöglichkeit an der Plumsjochhütte
