Eine anstrengende Tagestour Diese Tour über die Höhenzüge der Frankenhöhe kann in beide Richtungen gefahren werden. Jede davon hat ihren Reiz. Der Einstieg ist natürlich überall möglich. Wird in Ansbach im Uhrzeigersinn gestartet sollte man sich vom ersten Kilometer im Wald nicht zu sehr erschrecken lassen. Die nächsten Kilometer werden nicht so anstrengend. Asphalt wird jedoch meistens gemieden. Ab Schillingsfürst folgt man den blauen Schildern des Wanderweges "Europäische Wasserscheide". Die gelben Schilder sind nur Zuwege. In der Ortschaft Schönbronn (dort wird gerade ein Golfplatz gebaut) habe ich mich für zwei Kilometer verfahren. Bitte die blauen Schilder suchen oder auch nicht. Einen ausgezeichneten Mittagstisch erwartet einen im Gasthof Linden, in der gleichnamigen Ortschaft bei Rothenburg o. T. Ich war total verdreckt, konnte mich auf dem WC waschen und bekam ein Handtuch um den Stuhl zu schonen. Das Essen wird mit frischen Produkten aus der Region zubereitet. Wer möchte kann natürlich auch eine Zwei- oder Dreitagestour daraus machen und in der Nähe von Rothenburg o. T. übernachten. Für den zweiten Tag empfehle ich dann die Tour Nr. 24492 "Rothenburg ob der Tauber". Ich bin die Tour während einer Regenphase gefahren. Der Dreck fliegt einen nur so um die Ohren und verlangt vom Bike und Biker/in alles.
