Um Freunde aus unserem diesjährigen Singletrailalpencross mal so richtig zu beeindrucken habe ich eine der traillastigsten Touren die ich kenne ausgearbeitet. Beginn der Tour ist in Bad Nauheim in der Nähe des Hochwaldkrankenhauses. Wir starten in den Hochwald hinein am Waldsee vorbei und biegen schon nach 1km in den ersten echten Singletrail ein, wo man teilweise den Himmel nicht mehr sieht, da der Trail komplett überwachsen ist. Wir überqueren die Autobahn und fahren immer weiter bergan auf Trails und zum Schluß Forstautobahn zum restaurierten Limesturm, wo wir das erste Mal die Aussicht gen Norden geniessen. Von hier startet der schwierigste Trail des Tages bergab Richtung Langenhain-Ziegenberg, der einem trotzdem das Grinsen ins Gesícht treiben dürfte. Unten angekommen geht es bald wieder bergan und weiter auf verschiedenen Trails im und am Waldesrand Richtung Marienkappelle. Hier startet ein kurzes aber absolut geniales Bergabstück über kleinere Felsabsätze, Steilkurven und ähnliches. Unten angekommen geht es weiter Richtung Kransberg, wo wir ein kurzes Stück steil bergauf kurbeln und dann auf sehr schnuckligem Trail zur Gunter-Sachs-Hütte fahren, wo eine kleine Pause mit sehr schöner Aussicht angesagt ist. Weiter gehts auf besagtem Trail, später durch den Ort Kransberg und grob in Richtung des Fernsehturmes auf dem Steinkopf. Nach Fahrt über offenes Feld geht es am Waldeingang wieder auf Trails weiter, bis wir zum eigentlichen Limestrail kommen, den wir leicht bergan bis zur Kapersburg fogen werden. An der Kapersburg kurz den Geist der Jahrtausende aufgesagt und weiter gehts hoch zur Kuhkopfhütte mit grandiosem Ausblick über das Usinger Becken. Da hier ein absolut geniales Trailstück (wie kleiner Gardaseetrail) beginnt, nehmen wir dieses natürlich mit, und fahren anschließend nochmal zum Kuhkopf hinauf. Jetzt auf Trail rechts weiter und Richtung Steinkopf. Wir halten uns unterhalb des Gipfels, da hier ein Pfad entlang führt, und die Asphaltstraße auf den Gipfel keinerlei Entzückungen hervorruft. Jetzt sind wir schon fast am Wintersteinturm angekommen, wo wir bei schönen Wetter die hervorragende Fernsicht über die ganze Wetterau genießen. Fortan geht es bergab auf relativ leichtem aber extrem flüssigen und spaßigem Trail bis oberhalb des Forsthauses. Hier kurz rechts auf Waldweg und dann wieder links auf nächsten Trail, dem wir kreuz und quer bergab bis kurz vor die Autobahn folgen. Jetzt kommt ein kurzes Asphaltstück zurück nach Bad Nauheim, wo wir die Tour auf dem schnellen und flowigen Pferdetrail durch den Hochwald beenden. Die einhellige Meinung der Teilnehmer lautete, daß diese Tour einem Tag unseres Singletrailcrosses in den Westalpen in Nichts nachstand. Viel Spaß beim nachfahren, und eine Bitte an alle GPS-Nutzer doch auch mal etwas von sich zuveröffentlichen, da es ja doch recht mau aussieht in unserer Gegend. Alex

To impress friends from this year's single trail Alpencross times really I have one of the traillastigsten tours worked out I know. Beginning of the tour is in Bad Nauheim near the Hochwald Hospital. We start in the high woods into the Waldsee over and after 1km turn into the first true single trail, where you can not see part of the sky, as the trail is completely overgrown. We cross the highway and continue all uphill on trails and finally forest highway restored to Limesturm, where we enjoy the view to the north for the first time. From here starts the most difficult trail of the day downhill towards Long Grove goat mountain, which should one still drive the smile on your face. Once at the bottom, it goes right back uphill and continue on various trails in and around the forest edge direction Marienkapelle. Here starts a short but absolutely brilliant downhill piece on smaller rock paragraphs, steep turns and the like. Once at the bottom we head Crane Mountain, where we stimulate a short distance uphill and then go on very schnuckligem Trail to Gunter Sachs hut where a break is announced with great views. Next you go on said trail, later through the village Kranenberg and roughly in the direction of the television tower on the stone head. After driving across the open field, it goes to the forest entrance again on trails until we get to the actual Limes Trail, we are slightly uphill fogen to Kapersburg. At the Kapersburg briefly recited the spirit of millennia and on it goes up to the Kuhkopfhütte with glorious views of the Usinger's pool. Because it achieves an ingenious Trail piece (like small lake trail) begins, we take this course, and then go again up to the cow's head. Now continue on trail right direction and Steinkopf. We keep below the summit, because here a path leads along, and the asphalt road causes to the summit no raptures. Now we are already almost reached the winter stone tower, where we in nice weather the excellent view over the whole Wetterau enjoy. From then on it is downhill to a relatively light but extremely liquid and spaßigem trail up above the lodge. Then left on the next trail, we criss-cross downhill until just before the motorway follow here shortly right on forest road and again. Now comes a short piece of asphalt back to Bad Nauheim, where we end the tour on the fast and flowing horse trail through the high forest. The unanimous opinion of the participants was that this tour in the Western Alps inferior one day our single trail crosses into nothingness. But sometimes zuveröffentlichen Enjoy tracing, and an appeal to all GPS users something of himself, since it still looks pretty mau in our area. Alex
