Die Tour beginnt in Weissenstein beim Dorfcafe, das ist wichtig und sollte unbedingt befolgt werden. Warum - dazu später mehr. Zuerst geht es bei der Kirche vorbei und immer leicht ansteigend Richtung Fresach. Für die Jungen unter euch: Dort ist einer der bekanntesten Kärntner aufgewachsen und hat sich seine Kraft bei Läufen im Tiefschnee geholt. Heute ist er, wie auch der Tiefschnee am Südhang des Mirnocks eher selten anzutreffen. Wir lassen Franz Klammers Heimatgemeinde Mooswald links liegen und fahren Richtung Amberg. Die Auffahrt ist großteils sonnenausgesetzt, also sollte am Amberg beim Gasthof noch mal Wasser gepunkert werden. Dort ist der Teer zu Ende und nun geht es auf Schotter weiter bergauf. Das Panorama wird auch mit jeder Kurbeldrehung besser. Nach 2 Stunden ist die Plackerei zu Ende - die Aussicht Richtung Dorbratsch ist unbeschreiblich. Zum Palnock führt ein Singeltrail der ganz zum Ende kurz steil wird, hier gehts nur noch mit Schieben weiter - nur keine Angst - es sind nur wenige Meter die sich aber lohnen. Am Palnock macht sich ein Panorama auf - das seinesgeichen Sucht. Eine Wandersfrau meint: "So schön, und unten im Tal streiten sie" - Wen sie da wohl gemeit haben könnte. Schützer aufgeschnallt - Sitz tief und Kette rechts, ab gehts. Der Trail ist einfach zu fahren, in der Mitte gibt es sogar einen natürlichen Drop. Der Weg wird vor der Ortschaft Amberg recht steil, dort muß ich w.o. geben und kurz absteigen. Beim Almgasthof kurz auf ein Bier, und der Mut für die untere Sektion ist hier. Es folgt ein super Downhill mit einer Schlüsselstelle (S3), S2 sollte man aber schon fahren können, den davon gibt es 3 oder 4 Passagen. Zum Ende hin wird der Trail leichter und flacher. Zu guter letzt sei nun das Rätzel ums Dorfcafe gelüftet. Dort genehmigen wir uns das wohlverdiente Bier, der wahre Grund hier die Tour zu beginnen ist der XXL Toast Marke ehemaliges Landcafe. Der ist sensationell groß eigentlich XXXL so wie diese Tour.
