Zu Beginn eine landschaftlich eher uninteressante Strecke von Achern entlang der Landstraße nach Freistett. Dort durch den Ort hindurch und anschließend Richtung Grenzübergang Freistett (GER) - Gambsheim (FRA). Über den Rhein hinweg nach Frankreich hinein, geht es kurz nach der Rheinbrücke rechts ab in Richtung Offendorf. Dort beginnt dann der landschaftlich schöne Teil der Tour entlang des Rheins (auch auf der Dammkrone) oder durch die Rheinauen hindurch auf befestigten Staßen. In Drusenheim wartet dann auch schon die Rheinfähre über den Rhein zurück nach Deutschland. Auch hier geht es im Anschluss direkt durch die Rheinauen bis fast nach Lichtenau. Ab hier dann wieder quer durchs Land zurück nach Achern.

At the beginning of a rather uninteresting scenic stretch of Achern along the road to Freistett. There, through the village and then towards the border crossing Freistett (GER) - Gambsheim (FRA). Across the Rhine into France, it's just after the bridge turn right in direction of the open village. There, the scenic part of the trip along the river begins (on the dam) or by the floodplains through on paved Stassen. In Drusenheim then already waiting the Rhine ferry across the Rhine back to Germany. Again, it goes in the connection directly through the floodplains almost to Lichtenau. From here then back across the country back to Achern.
