Trail Description

Right at the beginning of the tour takes one-clad woodland road 130 hm uphill towards Kreuzberg. The right to bring his thigh on temperature. Once at the top, the trail leads north to a log cabin. From here you can ride on a wide beautiful curved gravel slope down towards Godel village. Here we leave the first forest and need for a short distance on the road which leads from Appendorf by demand for construction (the most dangerous part of the route). In Godel village, turn left and begins with the ascent to the castle step to ca. 380m. The road to the castle is step last piece a Trail with partially short steep sections. In the castle you can step off the left over take or have a bit of fun between the old moats. The departure of the castle step up to a log cabin is a bit steep, so saddle down and down. From the cabin goes over the gravel and forest trails after Krappenhof. From Krappenhof a Flurweg the forest area of ??Veitenstein. The ascent to Veitenstein begins with a meadow trail. The climb is not very steep and leads on good gravel roads to be traveled. At an altitude of 450m you reach the picnic area at the Veit stone. Short breath and enjoy the view from the rock platform. Now comes the most difficult part of the route. From the picnic area, follow the signs to Lußberg on a part sau steep single trail leads over roots and rock pieces. Who is unsafe, please timely dismount and push. In the lower part of the trail is steep but not more depending on the weather very muddy. So do not wear the latest clothes. After about 350m, the trail meets a forest road which we follow to the right. Now it comes with constant up and down on the beautifully wrapped and not graveled forest road towards Reckendorf. By Reckendorf you drive on the other side of the Baunachtals in the Waldgebied of Greinberg. At the resting place of Greinberg you can enjoy the magnificent view of Bamberg and the surrounding area.
