Vom Wöhrder See in Nürnberg aus geht es auf dem dem gekennzeichneten Wanderweg ab Erlenstegen bis zur Ludwigshöhe bei Lauf. Von dort durch Lauf hindurch über Schnaittach nach Osternohe. Nachdem man den Berg in Osternohe erklommen hat, kann man an der "Gipfelstation" des Schleppliftes eine kleine Pause einlegen, um dann frisch gestärkt auf die abwechslungsreiche Strecke bis zur Ruine Rothenberg zu gehen. Nach dem kurzen Anstieg hinauf zur Ruine (dem Wanderweg mit dem roten Kreuz folgend), folgt auf der Rückseite des Berges eine schöne Abfahrt mit teilweise auch anspruchsvollen Passagen hinunter nach Kersbach. Von dort aus dem Wanderweg folgen bis zum Bahnhof Neunkirchen (am Sand). Ab da geht es dann über Lauf zurück nach Nürnberg. Wer nicht den gleichen Weg zurückfahren will kann auch wahlweise durch das Pegnitztal direkt zurück, oder über Röthenbach durch den Lorenzer Reichswald zum Nürnberger Tiergarten und von dort aus zum Wöhrder See fahren.

From Woehrder lake in Nuremberg it goes on the marked trail from Erlenstegen to Ludwig altitude running. From there, by running through about Schnaittach Osternohe. Once you have climbed the mountain in Osternohe, you can quot at the &; Summit Station & quot; of the drag lift take a little break, and then strengthened fresh on the varied route to the ruins Rothenberg to go. After the short climb up to the ruins (the trail with the red cross following), follows on the back of the mountain with a beautiful descent partly demanding passages down to Kersbach. From there, follow the trail up to the Neunkirchen station (on the sand). From there it then goes running back to Nuremberg. Who does not want to go back the same way can go to Woehrder See also optionally through the Pegnitztal directly back, or Röthenbach by the Lorenz Imperial forest to the Nuremberg Zoo, and from there.
