Trail Description

Ulteriori informazioni a.

More information.
The route winds through the Vajont, the place infamous for the landslide and tidal wave in 1963 that swept away the villages in the valley and the nearby Spar.
It starts from the dam, still perfectly intact, and we head on the south side of the valley cycling over the landslide that fell from Mount Toc: with many ups and downs you come to Manzana where you take a detour that goes down the valley to the river bed Vajont.
Continuing on the pebbles ford before the Vajont and then the rio Zemola, then going on a short path to Erto not cycle. After reaching the nearby New Erto you continue to Valle San intersecting the Liberal Trui of Sciarbon, an ancient road used for transporting coal.
The path is narrow and technical, with several steps and an exposed bottom Whether shaken, with some points not cycle as the ascent and descent of the Col de Sciaston (five minutes walk). The single track then comes out of the woods, cutting the side of the mountain and offering dizzying views of the valley and the visible rift of Mount Toc; then it becomes easier and faster to Casso.
Along the narrow streets of the village you come to the cemetery where a fast and fun descent down the Troi of Sant'Antoni and Moliesa back to the dam.

Starting point: Erto and Casso, Vajont dam.
