Die Tour beginnt und endet am Hotel "Sunrise Costa Calma Palace" in der Calle Jahn Reisen in Costa Calma. Die Bikes haben wir bei Volcano-Bike gemietet (www.volcano-bike.com/), die Firma bietet auch geführte Touren an, auf denen wir viel Spaß hatten. Ein Wort noch vorab zu Kondition und Technik: Der Charakter der Landschaft im Süden Fuerteventuras ist der einer Halbwüste, dazu kommen noch Sanddünen. Je nach Wind und Wetter muss man deshalb mit Schiebestrecken und ziemlich technischen Bedingungen rechnen. Die geschilderten Verhältnisse und Strecken können sich je nach Bautätigkeit und Witterung ändern. Bei dieser Tour blies der "Calima" (Sandwind aus der Sahara) recht ordentlich, was eine zusätzliche Belastung darstellt und für die "trüben" Bilder sorgt. Zunächst fährt man die Calle Jahn-Reisen nach links und dann sofort über den Weg zum Einkaufszentrum Las Palmeras dorthin. Nach Umrundung des Centers folgt man der Straße aufwärts bis zu derem Ende (Kreisverkehr). von dort aus folgt man in gerader Richtung der Piste, vorbei am Schild, das den Beginn edes Naturparks ankündigt. Die Piste fordert einen "Forstwegreiter" ganz ordentlich. auf der Piste hält man sich immer geradeaus, bis etwa auf dem Kamm des Höhenzugs eine weitere Piste quert, dort biegt man dann rechts ab. Nun folgt man der neuen Piste, bis sich der Weg zur Ansiedlung Puerto del Mar abzeichnet. Diesem folgend umrundet man die Ansiedlung und nutzt dann den Weg oberhalb der Siedlung zur Weiterfahrt in nördlicher Richtung. Um nach La Pared zu kommen, bieten sich mehrere Möglichkeiten. Nach den bereits gemachten Erfahrungen mit tiefem Sand haben wir uns entschieden, den Barranco mit Fahrspur nicht zu nutzens, sondern nach Durchquerung die Piste parallel zur Telefonleitung ausgewählt, die mit ausnahme einer Tiefsandstrecke von etwa 50m relativ problemlos fahrbar ist. Nach Durchquerung der Urbanisation La Pared (dort gibt es beim ehemaligen Hotel einen Minimarkt, in dem man sich versorgen kann) folgt man der Straße zur Küste. Für den Rückweg haben wir dann die wenig befahrene Straße FV-605 bis zum Kreisel mit der Hauptstraße FV-2 benutzt, dann sind wir der stark befahrenen FV-2 bis zum Gipfel des Anstiegs gefolgt (ggf. könnte man parallel auf Pisten fahren) und dort über eine Freifläche auf die Nebenstraße gewechselt. Über die Nebenstraßen (Einbahnstraßen beachten) fährt man dann wieder Richtung Calle Jahn Reisen ab, durchquert den doppelten Kreisverkehr, um in die Calle Jahn Reisen (Hinweisschild "Policia local") einzubiegen. Über einen ordentlichen Anstieg bis zur Polizeistation erreicht man wieder den Ausgangspunkt.
