Trail Description

Following moderate walk leads to the summit of Pizzo d'Evigno. In good weather, you have a fantastic view ... & nbsp; Starting point is Imperia (Oneglia). A quick little meals for the tour to buy, have a coffee and then off you go. About the former coastal road for only relaxed to Diano Marina and then on to Diano San Pietro. There you now have to turn right and follow the road for a while uphill just past the cemetery. Behind the last district (Colla), the path runs mostly paved through the olive groves. While we hinaufqäulten the route, overtook us two fully loaded SUV with a whole bunch of mountain bikes on the trailers ... Arrived at Colletto we made then acquaintance with one of the downhill (the trail he is down, I went the next day ); Here we have then already accomplished half the altitude. Continue via a dirt road that winds up the right and left of the comb slowly. The view is magnificent and is the higher you go, always interesting. On the crest can be discovered from time to time, the typical stone shepherds' huts, which are very well preserved in part. At a watering hole for cows the road ends and leads into a challenging single trail. Let the fun begin! If you have a way caution sign, however, is achieved on offer - now you have to hold the summit and not follow the well-trodden and clearly marked path to the main ridge direction. For now, the whole thing not look like a path but on closer inspection you can still see marks already on the ground. Now and then one also free running horses meet. The last piece, it has once again within itself, it is very steep and thus technically complicated, but doable with a little experience, since one does not follow a narrow trail more, but anyway cross country runs. Finally, the summit cross is coming closer ... almost 1000m of Pizzo d'Evigno is high, 989m to be exact. If you are under the large cross and writes the summit book you almost feel like in the Alps - were it not for the fantastic panoramic sea views. Back you can either go the same route, or just over one of the other two combs. Who still has too much power in the legs can still drive up to the small summit of Monte Ceresa ... Overall, the track is simply down to the last kilometer, but a little patience is also required. When we recorded it, we went very quickly. The Höhendiagram below differs unfortunately from a few meters of the original height. The reviews for the condition, equipment, etc. are always very objective and this is my first trip on this site, but I think the experienced mountain bikers, the track may loose drive and the details are in order.
