Deze tocht loopt voor het grootste deel gelijk met de bewegwijzerde VTT-route "La Roche nr 3". Afwijkingen van de bewegwijzering: tussen punt 1 en 2 om de wel heel steile klim aan het begin van de tocht een stukje gemakkelijker te maken en tussen punt 3 en 4 waar de oude route gevolgd werd. Vertrekken kan aan de (betaal)parking naast de Ourthe in het centrum van La Roche waar het infobord staat of aan Camping le vieux moulin (ongeveer 500 m de weg naar Hives volgen en dan rechtsaf slaan.
