Trail Description

Departure from Roncà in the downtown area, -Via R. Trevisan -. Continue in the direction of the main street (Via Roma), at the junction keep left for Via Vittori and then, after about 200 meters, take the secondary road on the right, proceed for approximately 3 miles until you get to the Terrossa fraction of Roncà. At the bottom of the hill, keep left penetrating towards the center of Terrossa so before arriving at the Church turn left into Via Gallo. Right at the beginning of the road keep left on the concrete road that goes up immediately with slopes above 25%. More or less 100 meters after the road levels, the path becomes grassy and rocky until you reach a cemented that in fast descent brings us close to the center of Gambellara. After crossing the center of the country there are places on the SP Sorio and after about 300 meters take the Via Valdoro on the left. You then go up to about 1500 meters and down to Selva di Montebello, here before the church turn left and proceed uphill on the main road for about 300 meters, then turn right you will enter into a path that also involves crossing a vineyard, you come to a group of houses and keeping to the left you will arrive in the vicinity of the cemetery Zermeghedo. From here starts a dynamic forest trail that winds tortuously up to take us to places Agugliana. After about 2 km of asphalt begins the territory of Darramara (path a bit hidden on the right), nicknamed "Terramara" for the harshness of the wild environment that characterizes it, a 3-4 km travel in the forest dark and twisty. At the exit you get off on the paved road until you come to a group of houses from which resumed the climb up steep and rocky, and then again on mixed-grass land asfalto- you get to Step Roccolo in the territory of St. John Hilary. Then begins the final part of the climb to Monte Calvarina, 2-3 Km particularly challenging with gradients of up to 23-25%. Got almost to the top (approximately 200 meters on the right), begins the pleasant scenic descent to Roncà, including asphalt and forest paths.
CAUTION: A downhill section of Darramara is particularly dangerous and technically suitable for tightrope walkers MTB (I do walk). The area of ??the "Terramara" is very labyrinthine, there are several paths and lanes and you have to pay a little d 'attention orienting.
If you find any bar on the way scalvacatela without fear and continue.
TIP: The route Agugliana-Darramara-Monte Calvarina it is preferable to do so with dry soil or frozen, highly recommended in wet conditions because the mud is very sticky (risk locking the wheels).
