Sehr lohnenswerte Tour mit schönen Aussichtspunkten. Aufstieg auf Schotterweg von Sfinale, mit kl. Abfahrt- und Überquerung der Passhöhe. Nach weiteren schönen Höhenmetern kommt eine kl. Steile, grobschotterige Abfahrt (ggf. absteigen). Dann weiter Bergauf, bei mäßiger Steigung durch den schön, schattigen Sfilzi Wald. Nach kurzem Asphaltroad folgt eine super Abfahrt auf Schotter über sanfte Hügel hinunter nach Peschici. Weiter geht´s durch den schönen Ort wieder mal Bergauf. Um dann auf einsamen Wegen wieder zum Ausgangspunkt abzufahren. Tipp: Am Gargano gibt es hin- und wieder Ziegenherden die von Hunden bewacht werden. Falls Ihr damit Kontakt habt, haltet an, hebt 2-3 Steine auf (meist wissen die Hunde was dann kommt) und drehen von alleine ab, oder ggf. in Richtung der Hunde werfen (ungezielt),diese gehen dann bellend auf Distanz (bellende Hunde beißen nicht). Uns (Erich und mir) hat die Tour prima gefallen. Aktualisierung: Seit 2011 gibt es das empfehlenswerte Rifugio Sfilzi. Es lädt zu einer gemütlichen Rast, bei regionalen Köstlichkeiten ein (siehe Link und Fotos). Ihr findet das Rifugio bei erreichen der größten Höhe wo Ihr auf die Teerstraße trefft. Dort geht es rund 150 meter rechts bergauf. Guten Appetit!

Very rewarding route with beautiful views. Climb on dirt road from Sfinale, with kl. Departure and crossing of the pass. After another beautiful height meters is a kl. Steep, coarse gravelly descent (possibly descend). Then go uphill, with a moderate slope & nbsp; through the beautiful, shady Sfilzi forest. After a short asphalt road a great downhill on gravel over rolling hills follows down to Peschici. Goes on & acute s by the beautiful place again uphill. Then on lonely roads abzufahren to the starting point again. Tip: On Gargano there and back again goats guarded by dogs. If you have contact with it, hold on, 2-3 stones cancels (mostly know what the dogs & nbsp; then comes) and turn off by itself, or possibly throw in the direction of the dogs (untargeted), this then go barking at a distance ( barking dogs do not bite). We (Eric and I) made the tour like great. Update: Since 2011, the recommended Rifugio Sfilzi. It invites you to take a rest, at & nbsp; regional delicacies (see link and photos). You can find the Rifugio on reaching the greatest height where you hit the tarmac. There is about 150 meters uphill to the right. Bon Appetite!
