Trail Description


Punto di partenza : Arabba ; si trova modo di lasciare gratuitamente l’auto sull’ampio parcheggio della Funivia Arabba-Porta Vescovo.

Distanza : 49.6 km circa
Dislivello in salita affrontato in bici: 1985 m
Dislivello in discesa affrontato in bici: 2803 m
Asfalto : 7.1 km
Sterrato : 47.2 km

Tempo di percorrenza :
circa 5h30’ (escludendo la salita in funivia Arabba-Porta Vescovo e le soste varie per foto, spuntini ed inconvenienti)

Alb.Monti Pallidi-Città dei Sassi – 6 km pendenza media 6.5 % con punte oltre il 17 %
Selva di Val Gardena-Danterceppies – 5.8 km pendenza media oltre il 12.5% con punte oltre il 24 %
Corvara-Rif.Inzija – 5.4 km pendenza media circa 8% con punte oltre il 13.5 %
Discese : circa 18 km totali con pendenze medie del 12% e punte oltre il 26 %

Difficoltà:
La salita a Porta Vescovo in funivia consente di risparmiare circa 850m di dislivello che non sono pochi.
Il sentiero del Viel del Pan presenta dei tratti esposti dove è necessaria sicurezza di guida e una certa prudenza.
Serve una gamba ben allenata se a metà del percorso si vogliono affrontare le temibili rampe del Danterceppies.
Le discese sono belle e varie; ci sono veramente tanti single tracks e tutti i tipi di fondo.
E’ necessario un minimo di esperienza di guida su tratti un po’ più tecnici (comunque niente di impossibile) e soprattutto nei tratti sottobosco che in caso di pioggia diventano molto viscidi per la presenza di radici affioranti.

Tratti da fare a piedi:
qualche decina di metri sul Viel del Pan per la presenza di ostacoli sul sentiero
qualche brevissimo tratto della discesa dal Passo Pordoi verso l’Albergo Monti Pallidi (per sicurezza solo se il fondo è eccessivamente bagnato dopo una pioggia)
sulla salita Danterceppies se non si dosano le forze, dopo il Rif. Panorama c’è una rampa di una trentina di metri che non perdona.

Note conclusive:
La funivia Arabba - Porta Vescovo funziona nei seguenti orari dalle 08:30 alle 12:30 e dalle 14:00 alle 17:30 ed esegue una risalita ogni 30 minuti.
Trasportano tranquillamente ed incondizionatamente le bici; il costo della risalita attualmente è di 8 euro bici compresa.
Attenzione che la capienza della cabina consente il trasporto più o meno di una quindicina di bici con relativi bikers.

Chi non se la sente di salire al Danterceppies in sella può tranquillamente utilizzare l’omonima ovovia.
Accettano il trasporto bici senza particolari condizioni il costo della risalita attualmente è di 12 euro bici compresa.
Un uovo può trasportare bici e relativo biker, l’impianto funziona a ciclo continuo dalle 08:30 alle 17:30 .
Per le informazioni sui periodi di apertura, sugli orari e sulle tariffe degli impianti di risalita è bene fare sempre riferimento alle APT di Arabba, Valgardena e Alta Badia.
Riteniamo infine di sconsigliare di ripercorrere al contrario la traccia che abbiamo descritto qui .
Si rischia infatti di essere costretti a percorrere troppi tratti spingendo la bici.

Concluding Remarks: The cable car
Arabba - Porta Vescovo runs at the following times from 08:30 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 17:30 and performs a lift every 30 minutes.
Carrying bikes safely and unconditionally; the cost of the lift is currently comprised of 8 euro bike.
