Trail Description

Daten laut GPS/Tacho: 1475 Hm, 35 km, 4 Std

A panoramic round of the first rank on the Pinzgau counterclockwise. Parking in Bramberg on a PP equal to the fire station. Pass the church on tar road to 1167 m, continue on Forest Road exit about 80 Hm to the mill stream. In the valley cozy up to just before the Baumgartalm. Turn left here, always steeper but good to ride on the Geislalmen managed to Geisl-alp. Always with views of the Great Rettenstein. Then go under the by chairlift. Now the view to the south is free, overwhelming! Short downhill, passing near an artificial lake for the snow cannons and Radl the lift park for the ascent to the wild mountain. By foot it takes 15 to 20 minutes to the summit cross. All-round visibility Hohe Tauern, Venedigergruppe, up to the Zillertal Alps and in the north of the Wilder Kaiser. Then departure in a few minutes to Wildkogelhaus. The night has the advantage that it is acyclic on the road and therefore can enjoy the mountain alone without cable car tourists. Recommended night, 40 euros P.P. HP in beautiful new rooms with bath / WC. (Note August 2010: new room 45 € without WC-shower, sleeping bag and towels necessary!) Dinner, full breakfast in the panoramic restaurant with views of madness. Disadvantage (or advantage?): It is smoked in the dining room! Next day two options: exit as we on the driveway rather boring (see Tour 249) highway, but always the Salzach among themselves or on the starting and signposted on Wildkogelhaus Trail (see Tour 43003). The night is ecologically and economically sensible, if one then a second tour (for us it was her turn around Kitzbühel Horn, Tour 45131) attaches. Data according to the GPS / Speedometer: 1475 Hm, 35 km, 4 hours
