Die Tour gehört zu den schönsten und eindruckvollsten Touren die ich je gemacht habe! Gestartet wird oberhalb von Vilaflor. Nach sehr kurzer Asphaltstrecke biegt man direkt rechts in den Schotterweg ab. Die Strecke führt anfangs auf und ab, am Bergrückenentlang, Richtung Osten. Nach längerer Abfahrt kommt man zum "Barranco del Rio" und muß feststellen: Hier wurde noch keine Brücke gebaut! Ein Hirtenpfad führt steil herab bis zum Flussbett, auf der anderen Seite klettert man dann mit geschultertem Bike wieder auf den Weg (nur ca. 10-15min!). Ab jetzt geht es ständig auf guten Forstwegen aufwärts. Höchster Punkt ist der Kraterrand der Las Canadas mit Blick über den ganzen Las Canadsa-Krater und dem Teide, der sich in der Mitte aufgebaut hat. Die Abfahrt über den Kraterrand und der Trail entlang eines kleine Randkraters ist atemberaubend und lässt nur erahnen, was an landschaftlichen Highlights noch folgen wird.... Auf guten Schotterwegen werden die Canadas direkt am/unterhalb des Kraterrandes durchquert (ca. 20 km)- TRAUMHAFT! Den Abschluss bildet dann, nach kurzem Anstieg, ein langer Asphaltdownhill zum Ausgangspunkt. Auf der ganzen Tour haben wir nur ein paar Wanderer und einen wilden Hund gesehen; es war eine super Naturerlebnis, an dass ich gerne zurückdenke! Viel Spaß beim Nachbiken... TIPP: Für diese Tour sollte ihr früh unterwegs sein (Start vor 10:00 Uhr), denn es gibt kaum Möglichkeiten die Tour sinnvoll abzukürzen bzw. abzubrechen. Deshalb lieber einige Pausen einplanen. Die Tour würde ich nicht im Sommer (Juni-August) fahren, da zu dieser Zeit besonders auf den Lavawegen Temperaturen bis zu 45-50°C herrschen. Wir sind die Tour Anfang Oktober gefahren und hatten ideale Bedingungen (Villaflor ca. 20 °C, auf der Weg nach oben ca. 20-25°C). ACHTUNG! Wir haben erst später entdeckt, dass es nicht erlaubt ist mit dem Bike auf den Schotterwegen innerhalb der Las Canadas zu fahren. Auf der Tour haben wir das Verbotsschild gesehen, als wir den "verbotenen" Bereich bereits verließen und auf dem Asphalt Richtung Boca Tauche weiterfuhren. Auf dem Forstwegen in den Canadas gab es keine Verbotsschilder. Wenn ihr die beschriebene Tour nachfahrt, sollte ihr dies wissen und beachten! Ich möchte niemanden aufrufen bewusst gegen dieses Verbot zu verstoßen, deshalb keine bösen Emails an mich, wenn ihr eine saftige Strafe zahlen müsst!!! Als Alternative gibt es nur die Fahrt über die Hauptstraße (Aspahlt) durch die Las Canadas. Diese ist allerdings sehr stark befahren, die Ausblicke sind aber auch imposant!

The tour is one of the most beautiful and impressive tours I have ever done! Starts above Vilaflor. After a very short asphalt path, turn directly right into the dirt. The route initially up and down the ridge along, heading east. After a long downhill to get to the "Barranco del Rio" and must state: Here no bridge was built! A shepherd's path leads steeply down to the river bed, on the other hand, you climb then shouldering bike back on the road (only about 10-15 minutes). As of now it is constantly good forest roads up. The highest point is the crater of Las Canadas with views over the Las Canadsa Crater and the Teide, which has built up in the middle. The descent down the crater rim and the trail along a small rim crater is breathtaking and can only imagine what will follow in scenic highlights yet .... on good gravel roads the Canadas are right on / crosses below the crater rim (about 20 km) - GORGEOUS! The conclusion is then, after a short climb, a long asphalt downhill to the starting point. Throughout the tour, we saw only a few walkers and a wild dog; it was a great nature experience, I think back to that happy! Have fun Nachbiken ... TIP: For this tour you should go early sense to shorten or cancel his (starting before 10:00 clock), because there is little opportunity to tour. Therefore prefer to schedule some breaks. The tour I would not go in the summer (June-August) as prevail at this time especially on the Lavawegen temperatures up to 45-50 ° C.
