Startpunkt ist der Parkplatz am neuen Friedhof. Wir fahren hoch bis zur Ampel, queren die Hauptsrasse und nehmen die gegenüberliegende Strasse bis zum Seniorenheim, rechts und dann wieder links die Strasse ins Brandental immer gerade aus. Die Steigung ist gleich anstrengend und man sollte sich die Kräfte einteilen angesichts der bevorstehenden Höhenmeter. Nach 8 km erreichen wir die Schwabmühle, dort endet der Asphalt allerdings hat man auch schon fast 500 Hm vernichtet. Über eine kleine Holzbrücke und dann geht es auf mehr oder weniger gutem Schotterweg stetig nach oben mit einigen kurzen steileren Stücken bis zum verlassenen Hacklhof. Hier beginnt bei Km 12 und 1120 Hm das schwierigste Stück der gesamten Tour. Es handelt sich irgendwie um eine Sonderprüfung von 500 Mt wobei man einen Höhenunterschied von gut 100 Hm bewältigen muss, wer es schafft ohne abzusteigen kann behaupten dass er irgendwie gut in Form ist. Ab jetzt gibt es praktisch keine großen Schwierigkeiten mehr, die Strasse ist jetzt asphaltiert, vorbei am Recyclinghof kommen wir auf die Hauptstrasse der wir rechts folgen bis zum Kreisverkehr dort Richtung Gewerbegebiet immer geradeaus der Beschilderung Laabalm folgen. Bei der Alm endet der Asphalt und es beginnt ein gemütlicher Schotterweg. Wir bleiben immer auf dem Hauptweg bis zur Neuhütte, nach dem Teich halten wir uns links Richtung Auer Leger. Dort angekommen geht es rechts die letzten 1,5 Km und noch 120 Hm bis zum Jochgrimm dem höchsten Punkt der heutigen Tour. Hier gibt es mehrere Möglichkeiten abzufahren, ich habe die Variante über Radein gewählt, leider ist das GPS Gerät ohne Batterie geblieben und so habe ich den Rest der Strecke nachgezeichnet. Immer gerade aus zur Gurndin Alm und weiter auf der Forststrasse bis Radein und von dort die Teerstrasse bis Unterradein und dann bald rechts den Wanderweg bis Kaltenbrunn. ( Wahrscheinlich kann man von Radein herunter auch den Wanderweg fahren) In Kaltenbrunn fahren wir die Strasse nach Truden hoch und nach 150 Metern nehmen wir rechts die alte Bahntrasse der wir bis zum Schloss Enn folgen ( bei den Kreuzungen gegebenenfalls der Beschilderung Montan Folgen ) In Montan fahren wir die Staatsstrasse bis nach Auer hinunter dort Richtung Tramin bis vor der Etschbrücke wo der Radweg uns nach Leifers zurück führt. Leider hatte das GPS Gerät schwierigkeiten mit der Enge des Brandentales und die Auzeichnung weicht an manchen Stellen von der realen Strecke ab und die Höhenmeter stimmen auch nicht ganz wie auf der Grafik ersichtlich aber man kann den Weg nicht verfehlen. Auf der gesamten Strecke gibt es auch genügend Versorgung daher kann der Rucksack leichter gehalten werden.

Starting point is the car park at the new cemetery. We go up to the traffic lights, cross the main road and take the opposite road to the retirement home, right and left again into the Route Brandental straight ahead. The slope is exhausting and it should be the forces divided in view of the forthcoming altitude. After 8 km we reach the Schwab mill, where the pavement ends but you have already destroyed almost 500 Hm. A small wooden bridge and then it goes on more or less good gravel steadily upward with some short steeper pieces to abandoned Hacklhof. Here at Km 12 starts and 1120 Hm the most difficult part of the entire tour. In the pasture of the asphalt ends and it begins a cozy dirt road. We always stay on the main path to the Neuhütte, after the pond we keep left towards Auer Leger. Once there it goes right the last 1.5 Km and another 120 Hm to Jochgrimm the highest point of our tour today. There are several ways abzufahren, I have chosen the variant on Radein, unfortunately the GPS device has remained without battery and so I traced the rest of the way. Straight on to Gurndin Alm and continue on the forest road to Radein and from there the tar road to Unterradein and then soon the trail right up cold Brunn. (Probably can of Radein down and the trail ride) In cold Brunn we drive the road to Truden high and after 150 meters we turn right into old railway line which we up to the Castle Enn follow (at the intersections where appropriate, the signs Montan episodes) In Montan we take the main road to Auer down there towards Tramin until the Adige river bridge where the cycle path leads us to Laives back. Unfortunately, the GPS device had difficulties with the narrowness of the valley and the fire Auzeichnung differs in some places from the real distance from the altitude and also are not quite as visible on the graph but you can not miss the way. On the entire route there are plenty of supply, therefore, the backpack can be maintained more easily.
