Trail Description

Lunghezza: 38,5 Km
Tempo percorrenza: 3h 59' (+ 2 ore per le soste)
Periodo consigliato: giugno - settembre
Dislivello: circa 1191 metri
Quota Max :2432 mt.
Quota min: 1420 mt.
Difficolta tecnica: media (in alcuni punti in discesa alta).
Allenamento: Buono

A grand tour path with close friend Henry. An itinerary that advice, perhaps the most beautiful descent I've done in my life.
Length: 38.5 Km
time: 3h 59 '(+ 2 hours for stops)
period: June - September
Altitude difference: about 1191 meters
Quote Max: 2432 mt.
Quote Min: 1420 mt.
Technical Difficulty: medium (at some points in high descent).
Training: Good
Place of departure: we left the car in the Plaza of Briancon (parking fees apply).
Path: an unforgettable day. Definitely one of the best routes to those routes by me. A single track of at least 12 Km ... infinite.
Leaving the car in Briancon, in order to reach the asphalt Draye. Just before a bridge over the river to take a secondary road that Sn is initially paved. At the second junction, now the road is unpaved, turn in Sn slight uphill and follow the main road that will lead, not without difficulty, to Col Granon. In the first part of the provision is good, the road climbs regularly with great curves. After passing the small town of Granon the bottom is uneven (almost sandy bottom and loose stones). About two kilometers from the top of the road is a slight slope that opens on Val Clare. The scenery is beautiful and well worth the effort made so far.
Granon reach the Col (2516 m) past the refuge, take the wide dirt road that runs in anti-clockwise around Col Granon. After about 200 meters the dirt road is reduced to a tiny trail of sand and white stones among the meadows. From this point begins a incredible single track at least 10-11 km, in the woods with some bare spots but almost everything feasible in the saddle. At the end of the forest, the trail leads to a dirt road a few hundred meters leads to Serrelan. After a source where you can fill your water bottles with asphalt that begins a series of switchbacks that look of sheer Briancon us back quickly to the car.
